Under general supervision, performs a wide variety of skilled duties to install, maintain and repair facility electrical equipment and systems.
Interprets wiring diagrams, pictorials, wiring schematics, written and verbal instructions to assemble electrical components and units in a production environment. Places components in electric box or unit in accordance with provided documentation.
nPerforms full range of skilled duties to install, maintain and repair facility electrical equipment and systems
nImplements new electrical installations and installs conduit and wiring according to National Electric Code specifications
nResolves complex technical problems and interprets technical manuals for plant machinery
nDemonstrated ability to read, interpret and troubleshoot ladder logic or other program language in SLC, PLC, and HMI control system programs
nAdvises and consults with maintenance supervisor on new and revised plant and machine electrical installations
nConnects power cabling to equipment
nKnowledge of and complies with facility arc flash requirements
nRepairs and helps develop guarding processes
nTraining: Demonstrated willingness and ability to train others
Be able to work overtime and weekends as needed
Requires a well rounded knowledge of the practices, tools, equipment and materials used in the electrician's trade as would normally be obtained through technical or trade school and experience equivalent to a journey level electrician. Basic knowledge of PLCs. Ability to read, understand and interpret blueprints, construction drawings and wiring diagrams. Knowledge and understanding of pertinent local and national electrical codes. Effective verbal and written communication skills.
1 to 3 years experience prefered.
