Job Description

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

 

This position requires 70-75% travel with combination of air and ground travel.  Northeast Region: Maine, New Hampshire, New Jersey, Pennsylvania

 

The Manufacturing Rep Manager will be responsible for the following:  

  • Track sales performance using company tools to analyze sales revenue and statistics, develop plans, strategies and goals to improve metrics and collaborate with Marketing teams on lead generation.
  • Under direct supervision, the Manufacturers Rep Manager (MRM) will maintain and service the existing Manufacturers Rep (MR) customer base including development of new high, volume Manufacturers Rep. customers, establishing sales goals, quotas and providing technical support.
  • Work with MR’s in the region to maintain current MR agreements, organize & facilitate regional training sessions, maintain open communication, keep contact lists and MR files, participate in quarterly MR evaluation meetings to review sales performance, develop strategy, redirect assets.
  • Key Accounts - Initiate or maintain corporate communications with major consolidator or multi-branch contractors as directed by management of the Manufacturing Managers.
  • Explore and qualify new MR’s in assigned market, establish first contact, and secure alignment with the district team.  
  • Coordinate onboarding activities for new MR’s including training, weekly communications, co-ordination of low margin jobs, quoting and order management activities, account visits and sales “ride-along” calls.
  • Oversight, accountability and execution of the agreed sales plan will be managed through monthly, quarterly and annual reviews.
  • Performance evaluation will be completed on a quarterly and annual basis by the MR Program Manager.

Qualifications

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

  • Previous role as a HVAC/R MR Sales Representative experienced in relationship building, creating / implementing sales strategies, providing team leadership, budgeting, sales forecasting, and projections is highly desirable.
  • Requires a bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and commercial HVAC experience.
  • Requires strong abilities with building relationships, listening, persuading, negotiating, and managing time.
  • Requires knowledge of principles and methods for presenting, promoting, and selling products or services. This includes marketing strategy and tactics, product demonstration, sales techniques, and sales control systems.
  • Experienced in providing customer service including customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, resolve customer issues and monitor sales team success rate and customer satisfaction.
  • Requires VRF and Unitary industry product knowledge and application.
  • Experienced in evaluating, planning, organizing, and motivating sales channel.
  • Effective at written and verbal communication, product presentation, technical training, and team building.
  • Must be able to use Microsoft Office and Sales/Customer Relationship Management software.

This position offers a commission-based incentive plan with a compensation range of $95,000-118,000 which will be based on the candidate’s qualifications, experience, and education.  In addition, you will have the opportunity to earn up to $58,000 USD/year in bonuses, plus uncapped payouts for “over-target” commissions.
