Job Description

Under general direction, develops, implements and monitors programs that drive year-over-year increases in safety and ergonomics and maintain highest environmental quality standards.

Involved in the design and development of facilities, work areas and work procedures and makes health, safety and environmental (HSE) recommendations accordingly. Develops methods to drive continuous improvement of HSE practices. Responsible for preparing, maintaining, and updating environmental and policy and procedure manuals. Ensures compliance with all HSE regulations, and keeps abreast of any changes to laws and regulations that impact the organization. Serves as contact with all regulatory bodies. May provide work direction to others.

 

The Compensation range for this position is approximately $90,100 - $111,300 and will be based on the candidate’s qualification, experience, and education.

 

Bilingual (Spanish) candidates preferred.

 

Qualifications

Requires a bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Requires at least 5 years related experience. CSP or equivalent certification preferred.

Full knowledge of health, safety, environmental and workers compensation best practices. Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal skills that result in effective communications. Strong presentation skills to senior executives. Knowledge of developing and implementing training programs. Must have proven success in driving continuous improvement in HSE. Lean and Six Sigma preferred. Experience using Apollo Root Cause Analysis (RCA), Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA), or similar robust problem solving tools preferred.
