Job Description

PRIMARY FUNCTION:

 

The CAD Designer will utilize Creo design software to produce 2D and 3D designs.

 

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Perform detailing, drawing, modeling, and designing on HVAC components.
  • Improve product quality and function through design modifications.
  • Large assembly management of HVAC product families.
  • Ensure your design creations include and uphold product style.
  • Coordinate with engineering team to understand project specifications and scope.
  • Use design software to produce 2D and 3D designs, depending on the complexity of the project.
  • Research material properties to identify the best materials for molding.
  • Notify management team of the design’s progress and when the designs are complete.
  • Get feedback from project manager and supervisor and revise designs as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Associate degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum of 2 years of related experience.
  • Knowledge of mechanical and manufacturing design strongly preferred.

OTHER SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Strong initiative, excellent organizational and people skills to build and maintain relationships with project managers and internal stakeholders. Candidate must have a vast knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principles used to create technical plans, drawings, and models. Stellar attention to detail and the ability to work in a team environment. A strong desire to drive results with a hands-on mentality to see projects to completion.

COMPUTER SKILLS:

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office products including, but not limited to, Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams.
  • Strong knowledge of Analytical and CAD software.
  • Minimum of 2+ years of hands-on Creo experience
  • Knowledge of 3D software preferred.

ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS

  • Must have the ability to effectively communicate and present.
  • Industry and HVAC product knowledge preferred.
