Job Description

WHAT IS THE ROLE?

 

The individual in this role will be responsible for managing, controlling, and directing the material planning, inventory control, storage, shipping, and receiving functions.

  • Collaborates with Supply Chain organization to design, standardize, optimize, automate, and deploy materials management processes aligned with segment-level strategies and objectives.
  • Leads design and implementation of manufacturing shop floor materials management systems and processes including but not limited to warehouse management, part picking, kitting, sequencing, staging, kanban / pull systems, cart design and parts presentation.
  • Researches, evaluates, and recommends changes to materials management and production processes, systems, technology, capital, equipment, or other assets that will enhance the organization’s production capabilities and profitability.
  • Partners with Supply Chain and IT resources to drive optimization and implementation activities for SAP enterprise resource planning systems.
  • Identifies and drives cutting edge technology solutions to optimize materials management processes.

Qualifications

WHAT DO YOU NEED TO SUCCEED?

  • Bachelor of Science Degree in technical/analytical discipline in Supply Chain field required.
  • Master’s degree in business and/or Supply Chain/Logistics discipline is a plus.
  • Certification in Production Management (APICS/C.P.I.M) or procurement (ISM/CPSM) is considered a plus.
  • Requires at least 8 years related experience; 10 years related experience is preferred.
  • Proven experience in leading change in materials management processes
  • Proven ability to deal with ambiguity and maintain focus on business outcomes.
  • Experience with 'Lean' material management is preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal and collaborative skills.
  • Must be detail oriented and have strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Superior communication skills and strong quantitative and qualitative analytical skills
  • Hands on experience with data visualization software (Tableau / Qlik), SQL, Excel and other data analytic tools
  • Knowledge and experience with ERP systems, MRP planning, forecasting systems, inventory optimization software, supply chain design, and lean supply chain methods
  • Ability to travel as required by assigned project work - up to 60%

 

The Compensation range for this position is approximately $110,000k - $144,000k and will be based on the candidate’s qualification, experience, and education.
