***The Compensation range for this position is approximately $88,000 - $115,500 based on the candidate’s qualifications, experience, and education***

As an engineer for our Controls and Electronics group, you will have the opportunity to work with a team of talented engineers to develop a variety of new and existing embedded control products.

 

GENERAL DUTIES INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

 

  • Develop electronic control boards utilizing embedded microprocessor with analog and digital circuitry for residential HVAC equipment.
  • Develop the specifications and technical documentation for new products.
  • Participate in design review and projects meetings.
  • Test the electronic controls to verify they comply with the stringent quality and reliability requirements of Lennox Industries.
  • Perform root cause analysis and implement design changes to assure product integrity.
  • Interact with suppliers to find the best components for the application while containing component costs.

Qualifications

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

 

  • Master's Degree in Electrical Engineer or a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineer w/ 4+ year experience in design of analog, digital, and mixed signal circuitry and embedded microprocessors using through-hole and surface mount technologies.
  • Experienced with variable speed motor control or AC/DC and DC/DC converters.
  • Experienced in utilizing schematic capture and PCB layout software to document your design.
  • Experienced with circuit simulation software is a plus.
  • Capable of performing general soldering; operation of scopes, meters, and general lab equipment.
  • Must have demonstrated the capability to multi-task and work on several projects at the same time.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to effectively communicate technical information to internal Lennox Industries management and external suppliers.
  • Skilled in using Microsoft Office Products (Word™, Excel ™, PowerPoint ™). Experience with MSProject™ is a plus.
  • Experienced in programming in C, C++, Embedded C, MATLAB, Python, and LabView is a plus.
  • Experience in the HVAC or appliance industries is a plus.
  • Knowledge of serial protocols (TCP/IP, RS485, RS232, USB, CAN, Echelon, BACnet) is a plus.
