Job Description

You will be part of a dynamic EHS & Sustainability team that ensures LII’s sustainable footprint on the planet and helps drive our ESG & EHS program. As a member of the corporate team, you will be responsible for providing central support of the environmental and sustainability functions across the Company, help drive our safety, energy, water, refrigerants and waste goals, and deliver key activities in the areas of training, environmental reporting, and compliance assurance in partnership with the business segments.

 

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING:

 

 

  • Utilize your subject matter expertise on ESG Reporting Programs such as safety, energy, climate, air, water, waste and refrigerant management.
    • Assist EHS & Sustainability, PPGA & Communication with projects to better keep track of data, performance, and trends to prepare for future needs to achieve ESG targets.
    • Support EHS & Sustainability: identify opportunities, get funding and keep track of progress of business plans.
    • Manage reporting ESG platform, data collection, data validation, system management, reporting, and KPI’s analytics.
    • Developing reporting initiatives.
    • Develop ESG training programs to EHS & Sustainability leaders at the operations.
    • Identify opportunities for EHS, ESG & Sustainability digital management systems.
    • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to building sustainability reports.
    • Build glidepaths and keep track of performance: decarbonization, water, waste management, refrigerant.
  • Utilize your advanced expertise with Reporting, monitoring, validation, ESG, EHS management systems.
    • Work closely and proactively with EHS & Sustainability, Communications, PPGA corporate.
    • Familiar with UN Sustainability Goals
  • Assist manufacturing facilities with reporting by preparing ESG annual submissions including but not limited to EPCRA Tier II, TRI Form R, GHG Reporting, and other requirements listed in permits.
    • Create back-up documentation for regulatory specific environmental compliance reporting.
    • Assist in development of electronic records standard and filing for record retention.
  • Participate in EHS & Sustainability audits.
    • Support the operation in auditing process.
    • Validate and certify data in our records through control owner and process owner management program.
  • Manage data & Analytics in various systems.
    • Work with internal and external stakeholders to obtain, manage, and audit environmental-related data (including electricity, fuel, waste) using multiple systems (Schneider Resource Advisor, Waste Management, INTELEX, etc.).
    • Identify and address data gaps.
    • Generate reports to demonstrate progress.
    • Assist in GHG reporting/carbon accounting.
    • System administrator - Data base - for various systems used in the Environmental Sustainability function.

 

Qualifications

 

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, sustainability, or related technical engineering degree.
  • At least 3 - 5 years of work experience in an environmental field, preferably in a manufacturing sector.
  • Strong understanding of ESG, EHS & Sustainability reporting standards.
  • Solid proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Must be able to quickly learn new technology/software to pull data and create Power BI reports.
  • Digital mindset and system-oriented person in other to transform the business into systems and processes.
  • Must have excellent oral and written communication skills. Ability to effectively communicate ideas and properly describe problems and solutions. Able to communicate complex and technical information in a way that audiences can quickly understand the issues and opportunities.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities within the business plan and across the supply chain.
  • Must have strong project management skills and the ability to work as project leader and exercise sound judgment to carry out project-oriented work.
  • Must be detail-oriented, well organized, and develop analytical skills to identify opportunities, simplify problems and find root cause elements.
  • Demonstrates strong interpersonal skills with the ability to interact effectively with peers and build and maintain teams engage.
  • Ability to perform duties with judgment, discretion, and confidentiality.
  • The position will require limited travel – approximately 10%.

The compensation range for this position is approximately $105,000 - $144,000 and will be based on the candidate’s qualification, experience, and education
