Job Description

The Sr Product Marketing Manager, will lead the commercialization activities with the Residential Sales and Marketing teams for the Controls & Indoor Air Quality (IAQ) product lines. They will champion the Voice of the Customer (VoC), act as a brand evangelist, lead field sales communication and training for both product categories while driving internal and external engagement.  Post launch, the Product Marketing Manager will monitor the performance of the category and be instrumental in creating programs to achieve the annual plan. The product lines include Lennox branded thermostats, zoning equipment, smart home accessories, filtration, air purification, UV lamps, humidity control equipment and ventilation products.

 

 JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

 

Voice of the Customer  

  • Participate in the discovery and requirements phase of new product introduction.
  • Monitor customer adoption of new product and provide feedback to product management and engineering.
  • Lead Customer experience team to develop support around product reviews while driving positive engagement.
  • Collect and report out on data supporting customer needs to improve products and process.
  • Support product specialist in maintaining customer experience documents that include market intelligence.

 Brand Alignment 

  • Maintain Lennox controls & IAQ equipment brand standards across all communication channels.
  • Provide brand guidelines and product positioning messaging during product launches, ensuring consistency across marketing communications in both digital and traditional channels.  

 â€¯Product Commercialization Champion 

  • Lead the marketing commercialization process from business case to product launch, including product definition and positioning, channel messaging, marketing activities, and training planning.
  • Coordinate product release plans across cross-functional marketing teams, ensure collateral and program readiness.
  • Drive activities around tradeshows, sales meetings, and customer events to promote brand awareness and communicate new offerings.
  • Support field needs to drive product adoption by creating sales tools, participating in-person trainings, and working with customers directly as needed.

 Portfolio Management 

  • Monitor and achieve goals set for price performance, volume targets and mix percentage.
  • Review monthly product demand with Supply Chain teams and adjust forecasts as needed.
  • Lead Phase-In and Phase-Out (PIPO) activities as required as needed.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop promotions and initiatives to meet financial targets.
  • Provide guidance to dedicated product specialist supporting NPI and product commercialization.

 Product Knowledge 

  • Subject matter expert for your product suite and/or product project, including features, functionality, user experience, and connections to other areas of the business. 
  • Leverage market awareness to position product differentiation and commercialize industry leading product claims.
  • Expand knowledge of the product portfolio and incorporate it into business channels, literature, collateral, and training programs.

 Executive Engagement

  •  Responsible for delivering presentations on marketing strategies and outcomes to the executive leadership during new product introduction sessions
  • Accountable for meeting the set financial and market performance targets including commercialization success rate and product vitality index.

 Leadership

  • Oversee and mentor a direct report, an analyst, guiding their development and enhancing their skills through coaching and performance feedback.

Travel

  • Travel up to 25% is required for this role.

 

The Compensation range for this position is approximately $124,800 - $163,800 and will be based on the candidate’s qualification, experience, and education.

Qualifications

  • A bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience is preferred 
  • 8 years of experience in Marketing, Communication, or Sales
