Job Description

DC Shipping Specialist Job Description:

We are looking for a result-driven Individual to be responsible for routing, processing, and monitoring outbound customer shipments to achieve daily objectives. You will be responsible for providing guidance, instruction, training, and leadership skills. Working together with team members to maximize the DC’s overall goal of quality out the door and 100% customer satisfaction while complying with all company safety policies and code of ethics.

To be successful as a Shipping Specialist, you should have a track record of team motivation with positive results. Display excellent interpersonal skills to build quality relationships with the team, customers, and our customer service department.

DC Shipping Specialist Responsibilities:

Under limited supervision, handles and maintains flow of inventory and finished goods according to established guidelines. Verify and maintain records of outbound shipments. Prepare items for shipment. Duties include assembling, addressing, stamping, shipping, receiving, unpacking, verifying, recording inbound/outbound material, arranging for the transportation of products, and communicate with customer service

Qualifications

DC Shipping Specialist Requirements:

Requires a high school diploma or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Requires at least 3-5 years related experience.

Expert knowledge of shipping and receiving procedures including handling exceptions. Excellent reading, writing and numerical skills. Able to use company databases or other IT applications independently with little supervision. May require skills in powered equipment such as forklift or hydraulic jack lift.

SAP, Maxload, Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, Teams, and PowerPoint

Customer Returns, annual inventory, cycle counting, auditing/approving freight bills, and knowledge of routing/planning shipments.

Work overtime as needed.

Capable to Lift 50 pounds.
