Job Description

Under general supervision, facilitates quality improvements by developing methods and procedures to improve and maintain product quality standards.

 

Duties include, but not limited to:

  • Gathers and analyzes data to plan, coordinate and report quality improvements.
  • Troubleshoots quality problems for internal or external concerns and drive root cause analysis within all areas of the organization  
  • Participates in projects for production application needed to assist in driving continuous improvements. 
  • Conducts internal quality controls concerning particular areas or company products to ensure quality procedures and norms are met.
  • Assists monitoring and recording inconsistencies with quality procedures and norms.
  • Collaborates with more experienced engineers or Managers in preparing quality analyses and recommends necessary quality procedure changes.
  • Prepares reports on rejected or defective products.
  • As needed Supervision of Hourly Associates 

Qualifications

  • Requires a bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Requires at least 2 year related experience.
  • Work involves the application of more complex engineering principles to develop methods and procedures to improve and maintain product quality standards.
  • Competencies in SPC, Capability Studies, and Six Sigma.
