Job Description

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

 

We have an exciting opportunity at our Stuttgart, Arkansas manufacturing facility for someone with a strategic mindset and a passion for building a strong safety culture. We are seeking an experienced Senior Manager – Environmental, Health and Safety, who brings a proactive and strategic approach to risk mitigation.  The ideal candidate will excel in utilizing leading indicators, behavior observation and ensuring compliance with all relevant regulatory agencies.  In this role, you will be instrumental in safeguarding the safety of our employees throughout the 750,000 square-foot manufacturing facility.  

  • Lead a team focused on developing, implementing, and monitoring programs that drive world-class safety, health, and environmental practices in a complex manufacturing environment
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders, functional contacts, and external partners to enhance our programs
  • Continuously refine safety training, programs and policies based on feedback and assessment measure results
  • Monitors the removal of physical, biological, and chemical hazards. Ensures all regulatory reporting is accurate and timely.
  • Act as an advisor to health and safety team regarding projects, tasks, and operations
  • Develop a robust incident investigation process focused on driving to root cause/corrective action
  • Shift culture to a focus on leading indicators and hazard identification

Qualifications

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher
  • At least 8 years progressive experience in an operations or safety related role
  • At least 5 years of leadership experience
  • Experience with project and process management
  • Hands on approach to assessing risk and leading change
  • Strong communication skills, as well as interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrate influence and coaching skills
  • Experience and proficiency with Microsoft Office products

PREFERRED

  • Experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Experience leading transformational change
  • Certified Safety and Health Official (CSHO)

The Compensation range for this position is approximately $115k - $147k with 10 to 15% bonus and will be based on the candidate’s qualification, experience, and education.
