AES a division of Lennox, was established in 1988 and is one of the largest manufacturers of roof curbs and drop box diffuser systems in the nation.  We have recently expanded our capabilities as a single source supplier by adding a Mechanical Services Division as well as becoming a Misc. Steel manufacturer.  These new services will reduce construction costs and eliminate coordination with multiple suppliers and subcontractors.  Our focus will be to enhance the services provided to our General Contractor network nationwide.  AES has 4 different fabrication facility locations nationwide to assist our customers and reduce their freight cost and shipment lead times.

Job Description

 

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

  • Supervises workers who receive, validate and record shipments, prepare items for shipping, and load and unload trucks.
  • Supervises the receiving, storing, packing, and shipping of merchandise or materials.
  • Responsible for maintaining necessary files, documentation, product verification, packing, unpacking and loading shipments.
  • Ensures employee safety and compliance with all policies.
  • Resolves problems such as damaged goods or shipping errors.
  • Selects, trains, and develops team.
  • Performs managerial responsibilities at least 50% of the time.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • Requires at least 5 years related experience. May require forklift certification.
  • Requires a high school diploma or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience managing small teams, including hiring, training and evaluations
  • Ability to oversee inventory
  • Able to operate powered equipment such as forklift or hydraulic jack lift.
  • Good communication skills to interact with team members and vendors
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively
  • Must be familiar with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel and Outlook)
  • Valid driver’s license with good driving record may be required.

Preferred:

  • Previous management experience in shop or service environment
  • Work history in HVAC, Plumbing, Electrical or other Construction trades
  • Forklift Certification
