Job Description

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

Lennox International is seeking a talented and experienced Instructional Designer to join our Learning & Development team. In this role, you'll be responsible for creating engaging and effective learning experiences that enhance industry knowledge and drive usage growth through the Lennox Learning Center.

Strategic (30% of time)

  • Identify content gaps to improve industry knowledge and boost usage of the Lennox Learning Center
  • Develop and maintain content policies and standards for course and configuration management
  • Create and update process maps for existing and future training development projects
  • Explore future strategic development opportunities for instructor-led training (ILT), online learning, and virtual instructor-led training (vILT)
  • Analyze organizational needs to determine appropriate training solutions

Operational (70% of time)

  • Design comprehensive instructional strategies incorporating pre-class activities, presentations, learner participation, practice problems, automated continued learning opportunities, case studies, and evaluations
  • Prepare instructor materials (course outline, background material, and training aids)
  • Create student materials such as course manuals, workbooks, handouts, completion certificates, and course critique forms
  • Select appropriate instructional multimedia and craft effective copy, texts, audio, and video scripts
  • Design and develop learning deliverables aligned with leadership and branding standards, including interactive eLearning, video tutorials, instructor-led classroom curriculum, and printed self-paced training materials
  • Ensure all deliverables exceed internal customer expectations
  • Communicate expectations for content, accuracy, timeliness, and areas of improvement effectively

The Compensation range for this position is approximately $78,400- $102,900 and will be based on the candidate’s qualification, experience, and education.

Qualifications

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

  • Requires a bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Requires at least 5 years related experience.
  • Requires knowledge of adult learning principles and methodologies.
  • In depth knowledge of Instruction Design processes and techniques including training analysis, design, development and evaluation.
  • Highly skilled in the development of participant and instructor guides for instructor-led training.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills.
  • Strong PC skills with Microsoft Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Visio.
  • HVAC industry background preferred.
