Job Description

As an Advanced Technology Co-op at Lennox, you will gain hands on experience with latest HVAC technologies. Your role involves assisting with research and development projects, analyzing data, and supporting prototype testing, developing simulation models, for innovative HVAC technologies. You will collaborate with engineers and contribute to solving complex technical challenges, while staying updated on industry trends. Co-ops are generally part-time roles that you complete alongside your classes throughout the semester. As a Lennox Co-op you will be provided with real work experiences to grow your career and provide exposure to business leaders throughout the company. 

Successful co-ops will have the potential opportunity of joining Lennox Full-Time upon graduation or internship opportunities prior to graduation. Relocation and/or travel may be required for your position.

Qualifications

WHAT DO YOU NEED TO SUCCEED? 

Required Qualifications: 

  • Students pursing Master’s or PhD in Mechanical Engineering or a related field at an accredited college or university.
  • Strong understanding of fundamentals of thermodynamics, heat transfer and fluid mechanics.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office.

WHAT WILL GIVE YOU AN EDGE? 

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Interest in research and analysis of advanced thermal systems demonstrated via coursework or research projects.
  • Proven interest in hands-on laboratory work, as evidenced by prior coursework and research projects.
  • Ability to do scientific programming with VBA, Python, EES or C++.
  • Well organized & detail oriented.
  • Ability to work independent as well as part of a team.
  • Passion for producing high quality work.
