Under close supervision, performs field activities at customer site associated with planned replacements of HVAC systems, including drop boxes and adapter curbs.

Using detailed company guidelines, assists higher level technicians and installers with on-site installations, check-out, and other duties as needed. Assists with on-site installation of piping systems, valves, and related equipment. Usually handles the most basic, non-complex products and/or problems, referring more complex problems to higher level technicians and installers.

Requires a high school diploma or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected. May be required to complete an apprenticeship and/or formal training in area of specialty. Has knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Relies on instructions and pre- established guidelines to perform the functions of the job.
