Job Description

 

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING:

 

The team member, will partner and work together with stakeholders to increase effectiveness of our sourcing organization by streamlining accountabilities, building capabilities, and leveraging knowledge, relationships, and business strategies across markets. This team member will increase efficiency by driving scale where it makes sense, decreasing fragmentation, prioritizing higher impact areas, leveraging technology and data, and drive performance that unlocks growth for Lennox. The role will foster and build a culture of collaboration and agility to enable an efficient project roll-out process. The team member will ensure close alignment in strategy with functions by defining and utilizing a robust support network for the whole team and providing clarity on the sourcing process as well as roles and responsibilities.

The team member will apply best practices to improve efficiency by reducing operating costs while increasing productivity.

 

  • Create, manage and execute a comprehensive sourcing strategy that aligns with the organization’s objectives
  • Establish influence within the organization, evaluate existing practices, and challenge the status quo when necessary; ensure compliance with procurement policies and foster strong, trusting relationships with stakeholders and business partners
  • Draft, review, and negotiate contract terms with suppliers to ensure favorable terms and compliance with legal and organizational requirements, including defining services, deliverables, acceptance criteria, service level agreements (SLA), and key performance indicators (KPI)
  • Conduct in-depth market and spend data analysis to create financial models such as ROI, NPV, supplier scorecards, savings tracking, and make vs. buy decision models; utilize these models to execute strategic sourcing projects using established sourcing practices with the goal of delivering value in collaboration with key stakeholders throughout the organization
  • Drive process improvements within the sourcing workflows, tools and reports
  • Facilitate effective supplier performance management and foster the development of new capabilities through collaboration with suppliers and key stakeholders; provide feedback to suppliers on their performance, encouraging continuous improvement and innovation; proactively identify and address any performance issues by collaborating closely with internal stakeholders and suppliers, ensuring efficient resolution
  • Develop and lead the creation of Request for Proposals and Requests (RFP) Requests for Quotes (RFQ), to effectively source; collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, define evaluation criteria, and ensure compliance with organizational policies; manage the entire RFx process, including scope development, issuing RFPs, coordinating supplier responses, and conducting evaluations; lead negotiations with suppliers to secure favorable terms and conditions; maintain accurate documentation and records of the RFP process

 

Qualifications

 

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

 

  • At least 8 years of experience in Strategic Sourcing specifically with indirect categories such as facilities, real estate, professional services, staffing, marketing, travel and entertainment, legal, utilities and energy management, insurance and risk management, education, training, and HR
  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Finance or similar relevant field
  • Proven experience in building and implementing a strategic sourcing framework
  • Strong organizational, time management, and project management skills are required; able to manage multiple projects, RFx, and contract negotiations simultaneously is important; demonstrated skills in analysis, finance, problem-solving, organization, and project management are also necessary
  • Comfortable working in self-directed and ambiguous environments
  • Excellent supplier management skills
  • World-class negotiating skills with the ability to challenge the status quo
  • Strong quantitative and qualitative analysis skills
  • Great interpersonal and communication skills

The compensation range for this position is approximately $116,000 - $152,000 and will be based on the candidate’s qualification, experience, and education
