JOB TITLE:        Manager - Data Sciences

LOCATION:        Richardson, TX (Hybrid role, may work from home)

DUTIES:

• Develop Machine Learning projects. Build data-fueled models that will help our organization improve decision making capabilities.
• Be able to consistently merge, manage, interrogate, and analyze data to extract meaningful information.
• Become an expert on our sales, marketing, Engineering, Supply Chain and Finance data sets.
• Use machine learning tools and statistical techniques to produce solutions to problems.
• Build Custom data models and algorithms to complex data sets.
• Work with various functional teams to implement models and develop tools to monitor performance and data accuracy.
• Foster a focused and pragmatic approach combining advanced analytics, statistics, new technologies, and deep insights to drive decisions.
• Assess analytical tools, technology, and external data acquisition; support proof-of-concepts that drive business success and sustained growth.
• Present information using data visualization techniques.
• Manage a team of data scientists & educate them on new processes, technologies, or improvement opportunities.
• Manage & guide the team to implement a broad range of Data Science problems across varied domains and Businesses.
• Drive the team to develop, refine and scale data management and analytics procedures, systems, workflows, best practices and other issues to contribute to Lennox international’s machine learning practice.

REQUIREMENTS:  

• Master's or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Business Analytics, Engineering, Mathematics, Information Systems, or related field, and 2 years of experience in the job offered or as a Data Analyst, Data Scientist, or in a related/similar position.
• Experience therein to include 2 years with Database, analytics, or machine learning, and using Python, R, Scala or SQL; 2 years in the field of data, analytics and AI, and working with stakeholders and converting business problems into visual analysis using tools such as Qlik, tableau, PowerBI or other reporting/analytics tools.
• In lieu of a Master's degree and 2 years of experience, employer will accept a Bachelor’s degree in the above fields followed by 5 years of progressive experience in the above skill sets.
• Also requires completion of a university-level course, research project, internship, or thesis or one year of experience in the field of data science or analytics involving the following: Business Analytics; Management systems & processes; Statistics and Machine learning; and Advanced analytics. Hybrid role, ability to work from home.
