WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

 

 

As the SAP EWM Senior Analyst, you will be responsible for the overall architecture, design, related to SAP EWM configuration and system design. Must be able to collaborate with varying levels of technical understanding and be a thought leader and change agent who is able to adapt in a very fast paced, ever-changing environment. This dynamic role will allow the individual to tap into their technical architecture, analytical and leadership skills, interact with internal stakeholders and to think outside the box in developing creative solutions. 

 

Role Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the overall technical architecture, design, for SAP S/4 HANA EWM and integration with ERP, TMS and other software systems.
  • Accountable for software delivery including continuous improvement, practices, and principles.
  • Document major processes and development milestones.
  • Stay up to date with technology trends and industry best practices.
  • Develop & support enterprise architecture strategies for guiding principles, processes, policies, and standards.
  • Formulates and defines systems scope and objectives based on both user needs and a thorough understanding of application systems and industry requirements.
  • Analyzes business and user needs and follows through the full development life cycle.
  • Modifies, maintains, and updates complex ERP configuration and program routines.
  • Educates others in the workflow, business processes and reporting metrics enabled by ERP modules or other application systems.
  • Defines, tests, trains, implements, and supports one or more functional areas within the EWM System or other ERP application systems.
  • Monitor’s developers in software development methods, processes, and implementation of those methods.
  • Responsible for managing project plan, scope, risk, and resources.
  • Act as team leader for project teams.
  • Require travel periodically to visit Distribution centers and plants and collaborate with the teams.
  • Stay up to date with best practices and follow standards.
  • Manage work relations with internal and external partners.
  • Ensure solutions align with the IT long-term strategy.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization.
  • Prior experience in working matrix organization and handling multiple stakeholders would be added advantage.
  • Knowledge and experience in the following tools, disciplines and processes are preferred: Azure Dev Ops, MS Project, and Agile methodology.
  • Solves highly complex problems within their work team.
  • Strong influencing, facilitating, and consulting skills in working with stakeholders at all levels in the organization and across departments.
  • Ability to quickly adapt to changes in timelines and sequences.
  • Adaptability and flexibility including ability to manage deadline pressure, ambiguity, and change.

Qualifications

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

In order to be successful in this role, you will need to have the following:

 

  • 4-year degree in computer science, engineering, or another STEM field or equivalent experience 
  • 8+ years of relevant experience configuring, deploying and managing EWM solutions. 
  • 5+ years of functional experience in SAP Extended Warehouse Management with 2-3 end to end implementations on SAP S/4 HANA EWM 
  • Possess solid knowledge in SAP EWM Mater Data integrations, Inbound, Outbound and Internal Movements warehouse processes. 
  • Experience integrating with shop floor systems and process orders is a plus.  
  • Hands on experience in configuring different features in SAP EWM listed below: 
  • Complex Storage Types, put away and Stock removal strategies configuration using BADI or custom development. 
  • Handling unit management for Inbound, internal movements and outbound processes 
  • Palletization, consolidation, deconsolidation using Handling Unit 
  • Wave Management including Wave template and Determination. 
  • Inbound and Outbound activities 
  • Internal warehouse processes such as Replenishment, Cycle Counting and Physical Inventory 
  • Cross process settings, exception handling using custom development. 
  • Post Processing Framework for standard and custom definition 
  • Queue/Task Management 
  • RF mobile data entry, custom RF transactions on ITS mobile environment to run on Handheld. 
  • Having knowledge in other areas of EWM such as Slotting, Resource Management and Cross Dock 
  • Having knowledge in Barcode label printing by Smart forms using Barcodes GS1-128, Code-128 and EAN-13, label printing on Zebra printer 
  • Having knowledge in EWM Integration with ECC Logistics Execution and Inventory Management 
  • Good Understanding about ABAP Development, Debugging, custom objects such as BADI, functional modules, ALV Reports etc. 
  • Candidate should have experience working with business to understand their requirements. 
  • Must have good communication skills and be able to translate business requirements into functional and technical specifications. 
  • Experience 8+ years in software development/architecture 
  • Experience in enterprise application and information architecture methodologies and design 
  • Advanced understanding and experience working with various development tools, design standards, best practices, and architecture frameworks. 
  • Preferred to have excellent project management skills.  
  • Preferred to have TMS knowledge.

  • Experience working with multi-geographic teams. 
  • Exposure to Warehouse Management and Transportation planning solutions is a plus. 
  • Experience integrating with other platforms like MES systems is a plus.  
  • Understand process interdependencies and ensure the design of fully integrated process solutions with other process teams. 
  • Open to new ways of working, adopting industry standards and best practices. 
  • Ability to deliver high quality outcomes particularly under tight timelines.
