Job Description

Responsible for the overall architecture, design, related to SAP ERP configuration in Plant Maintenance. Materials Management knowledge is must to be able to perform the MM config and master data setup needed for Plant Maintenance. Must be able to collaborate with varying levels of technical understanding and be a thought leader and change agent who is able to adapt in a very fast paced, ever-changing environment. This dynamic role will allow the individual to tap into their technical architecture, analytical and leadership skills, interact with internal stakeholders and to think outside the box in developing creative solutions. 

 

Role Responsibilities:

 

  • Responsible for full life cycle implementation of SAP Plant Maintenance, from business requirements gathering through conducting business workshops, including gap analysis, blueprinting, design, configuration, testing, cutover, data migration, go-live, training, and post go-live support. 
  • Accountable for software delivery including continuous improvement, practices, and principles. 
  • Document major processes and development milestones. 
  • Formulates and defines systems scope and objectives based on both user needs and a thorough understanding of application systems and industry requirements.  
  • Analyzes business and user needs and follows through the full development life cycle. 
  • Develop functional specifications for the development of reports, forms, configurations, interfaces, and enhancements in PM and MM areas. 
  • Modifies, maintains, and updates complex ERP configuration and program routines.  
  • Educates others in the workflow, business processes and reporting metrics enabled by ERP modules or other application systems.  
  • Defines, tests, trains, implements, and supports one or more functional areas within the ERP System or other application systems.  
  • Monitor’s developers in software development methods, processes, and implementation of those methods.  
  • Ensure solutions align with the IT long-term strategy. 
  • Develop test scenarios and scripts, perform unit testing, coordinate user acceptance testing to resolve and close defects. 
  • Develop work instructions and job aids for end user training. 
  • Manage business process mapping, process re-engineering and gap analysis. Recommend opportunities for streamlining, consolidating, and optimizing processes. 
  • Assist with solution strategies for business requirements, enhancement requests and defect fixes. Identify, develop, and deliver business and technical solutions. 
  • Work independently while managing multiple priorities in a global environment; interacting with and influencing business partners at all levels.

Qualifications

  • 4-year degree in computer science, engineering, or another STEM field or equivalent experience 
  • 10+ years hands on experience with ERP applications 
  • 10+ years of SAP ERP experience (Plant Maintenance (PM), Materials Management (MM).  
  • 10+ years of SAP Plant Maintenance related implementation experience working in big and complex transformations with at least 2 full life cycle implementations. 
  • Detailed knowledge of the SAP Plant maintenance master data, maintenance notifications, maintenance orders and preventive maintenance, maintenance scheduling, refurbishment process. 
  • Experience 8+ years in software development/architecture 
  • Advanced understanding and experience working with various development tools, design standards, best practices, and architecture frameworks. 
  • Knowledge of Agile methodology 
  • Experience with large projects and programs 

 

Additional Knowledge & Skills 

  • Good understanding of integration points to other SAP modules.  
  • Nice to have basic ABAP debugging experience. 
  • Experience working with multi-geographic teams 
  • Experience integrating with other platforms like SAP BW, MES systems is a plus.
