Job Description

Provide leadership, strategy and programs necessary to establish relationships between manufacturer and supplier for the products installed in homes. Maintains relationships with national builders that will perpetuate a solid business relationship between organization and its customers, the builder and the installing contactor.

Designs, negotiates, implements and maintains agreements with national, regional and local builders. Leads the development of programs that enhance and advertise company brand as well as promote the values and recognition of the company abilities to provide products, programs and resources to our customers. Develops and maintains relationships with key national and regional builder customers in order to provide and maintain long-term business opportunities for the company. Manages financial, legal, internal and external functional criteria, ensuring the achievement of sales and margin goals at an acceptable company-established standard. Approves builder rebate programs. Reviews margin analysis and approves national, regional and local builder rebate requests. Mediates and provides guidance in the event of any disputes. Provides senior management with strategies and guidance regarding the development and implementation of residential new construction opportunities in their markets and updates regarding market conditions, competitive strategies and opportunities. Provides market sensitive input and support to the product development teams to ensure that the company has correct products for a continually changing market.

Qualifications

Requires a bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience. A master's degree or equivalent is preferred. Requires at least 8 years related experience. Requires at least 3 years experience as a manager.

Requires knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, human resources modeling, leadership technique, and coordination of people and resources. Must be able to manage the work of team members to optimize performance. Requires expert abilities with building relationships, listening, persuading, negotiating and managing time. Requires knowledge of principles and methods for showing, promoting, and selling products or services. This includes marketing strategy and tactics, product demonstration, sales techniques, and sales control systems. Knows principles and processes for providing customer service. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction. Must have excellent written and verbal communication. Requires substantial industry and product knowledge. Must be able to use Microsoft Office.
