JOB TITLE:         Business Solutions Lead Architect

 

LOCATION:         Richardson, TX, and hybrid role, may work from home

 

DUTIES:

  • Support and maintain the SAP Payroll System and its processes. Provide general payroll support in payroll processing, HR support package maintenance, application of Tax Update Bulletins (TUBS), maintain State Unemployment Insurance (SUI) rates, and configure new local taxes. Modify, maintain, and update complex ERP configuration and program routines. Formulate and define systems scope and objectives based on both user needs and a thorough understanding of application systems and industry requirements. Devise or modify procedures to solve complex problems considering system capacity and limitations, operation time, and form of desired results. Analyze business and user needs and follow through the full development life cycle. Responsible for feasibility studies, project charters and/or statements of work, implementation, communication, testing, change management, and training strategies. Solve highly technical and complex problems on multiple projects, and provide consultative support to internal staff. Serve as the authority on subject matter associated with content, processes, and procedures associated with enterprise applications. Educate others on the workflow, business processes, and reporting metrics enabled by ERP modules or other application systems. Define, test, train, implement, and support one or more functional areas within the ERP System or other application systems. Monitor other business analysts in software development methods, processes and implementation of those methods. Provide mentoring and direction to team members and serve as a key contributor. Instruct, direct, and check the work of other Business Solutions Architects. Oversee project plan, scope, risk, and resources. Participate in IT financial management activities including annual budgeting cycle, project estimating, capital approval process, project budget oversight, and resource time tracking.

Qualifications

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field, and 5 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or as a SAP Functional/Technical Payroll Consultant, IT Application Analyst-SAP HR/Payroll, SAP Payroll Specialist, or in a related/similar position.
  • Experience therein to include 5 years of experience implementing and supporting SAP HR Payroll systems, including SAP HR/HCM configuration, and documentation of the configuration activities, and using SAP HR Payroll configuration tools including IMG, PCRs, Schema, Features, Functions and Operations, as well as other Payroll tools, including Tax Reporter and HR forms (PE51).
  • 5 years of experience with payroll business process design, US tax model maintenance for each tax update, handling end-to-end payroll processes, payroll clusters, payroll runs, off-cycle, third party remittance, garnishments, and process models for payroll.
  • 5 years of experience gathering requirements for business users and recommending appropriate SAP options to enhance current system processes or build new process.
  • 5 years of experience providing production support of existing legacy SAP HCM Payroll system, on-premise SAP HCM Payroll system to run payroll, and support of inbound and outbound interfaces to SAP HCM Payroll system.
  • Hybrid role, ability to work from home.
