Heatcraft Refrigeration is a long-standing leader in the world of commercial refrigeration, providing climate-control solutions. Their state-of-the-art manufacturing facilities in the cities of Stone Mountain and Tifton, Georgia, produce evaporators, condensers, compressor racks, and other top-quality refrigeration products for their six market-leading brands: Bohn, Larkin, Climate Control, Chandler, Magna Industrial and InterLink. Heatcraft products are primarily used to preserve food and other perishables in supermarkets, convenience stores, restaurants, warehouses and distribution centers, in addition to other applications such as data centers, pharmaceutical and industrial process cooling.

Location:  Stone Mountain, GA (Hybrid-Monday through Thursday in the office with the option to work at home on Friday)

As the Designer, Engineered Solutions, you will primarily support both the commercial and industrial refrigeration sales team in designing custom refrigeration solutions (Engineered Solutions). You will be responsible for generating detailed equipment selection, quotation, and design drawings to create comprehensive bid packages.

• Work closely with sales engineers, product engineers, technical sales specialists, and clients to design and refine custom refrigeration solutions.
• Generate accurate and clear equipment selections and quotations, ensuring that all specifications meet project requirements.
• Develop detailed 3D models, technical submittal drawings, and factory drawings from conceptual designs or product sketches using SolidEdge/Teamcenter CAD tools.

• Ensure all designs meet industry standards and regulations and maximize the likelihood of successful sales and customer satisfaction.
• This role demands a high degree of flexibility and the ability to turn around drawings quickly with limited supervision.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

To be successful in this role, you will need to have the following:

• A bachelor's degree is preferred or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Proficient in SolidEdge/Teamcenter or equivalent CAD software techniques and tools, experience in sheet metal and tubing manufacturing (tooling and fixtures), and passion for creating innovative customized products.
• Strong math and mechanical knowledge.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Able to use Microsoft Office and Customer Relationship Management software.
• Refrigeration knowledge is preferred.

The compensation range is approximately $82,000 to $107,000, depending on the candidate’s qualifications, experience, and education.
