Job Description

Position Summary:

The IT Technical Analyst plays a key role in ensuring the efficiency and effectiveness of IT systems and infrastructure. This role involves troubleshooting technical issues, analyzing system performance, and supporting end users. The ideal candidate will be a problem-solver with strong technical skills and a focus on continuous improvement.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Analyze, diagnose, and resolve technical issues related to software, hardware, and network systems.
  • Provide technical support to end-users ensuring minimal downtime.
  • Monitor IT systems and infrastructure performance, identifying areas for improvement.
  • Assist in implementing, maintaining, and upgrading IT systems, applications, and hardware.
  • Responsible for upgrade or new installation of hardware and/or software such as cameras, network equipment, and shop-floor equipment.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
  • Document issues, resolutions, and processes to build a comprehensive knowledge base.
  • Participate in system testing, quality assurance, and deployment of new technologies.
  • Manage incidents and service requests in line with internal SLAs.
  • Conduct regular system audits and report on system health, performance, and compliance.
  • Assist in maintaining IT security protocols, including patch management and access control.
  • Train users on how to use the network and its functions.
  • Ensure compliance with IT security policies and best practices.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

 

  • Education: Requires a two-year degree or an equivalent combination of education, and experience.
  • 1-3 years of experience in IT support, technical analysis, or system administration.
  • Requires knowledge of hardware (pc, printers, scanners, network cabling) and network management software.
  • Strong knowledge of IT systems, networks, and hardware (e.g., Windows OS, servers).
  • Proficiency in IT tools and applications (e.g., Microsoft Office 365, Active Directory, ticketing systems).
  • Understanding of incident management, and problem resolution techniques.
  • Familiarity with scripting, SQL, or automation tools is a plus.
