Job Description

 

We are seeking a driven, self-motivated Sr. Manager, Accounting to join our team working for a dynamic company in a fast-paced environment. This position will oversee the transition of accounting functions from decentralized departments to a centralized shared services center, including process analyses, data migration, training, and streamlining to improve efficiency across the organization.

 

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

 

  • Perform process analyses and prepare SOPs and flowcharts for key accounting functions
  • Analyze existing accounting processes across different business units to identify areas for improvement and standardization
  • Assist in the development of new streamlined accounting workflows for the shared services center, considering best practices and efficiency gains
  • Communicate the transition plan to stakeholders across different business units, addressing concerns and managing expectations
  • Develop and deliver training programs to equip staff with the necessary knowledge to execute all centralized functions
  • Coordinate the transition of work streams from origination to destination
  • Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor the transition activities and generate regular reports to track progress
  • Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and internal controls and identify potential risks

 

Qualifications

 

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
  • CPA and/or MBA highly preferred
  • 10+ years of experience with evidence of assuming roles of greater complexity, responsibility and accountability
  • Manufacturing / heavy industry experience preferred
  • Proven ability to analyze complex business processes and identify opportunities for improvement
  • Project management skills and experience
  • Cost accounting experience a plus
  • Comprehensive experience in financial accounting and reporting
  • Demonstrated understanding of internal accounting controls
  • Strong oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Proactive attitude with team oriented, collaborative working style
  • SAP and Hyperion experience required
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills

The compensation range for this position is approximately $130,000 - $171,000 and will be based on the candidate’s qualification, experience, and education
