Job Description

Primary Function:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Pricing Analyst to join our team. The Pricing Analyst will play a key role in driving strategic pricing decisions, analyzing market trends, and developing pricing strategies that maximize revenue and profitability. This position requires expertise in data analysis, strong attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate with various teams to implement pricing initiatives that align with business objectives. The ideal candidate will have experience working in a dynamic environment and possess strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Pricing Strategy Development: Lead the development and execution of pricing strategies that align with company goals and market conditions. Monitor competitor pricing and market trends to inform decisions.
  • Data Analysis: Perform detailed analysis of pricing data, sales data, customer behavior, and market conditions to recommend pricing adjustments and optimize revenue.
  • Pricing Models: Build and maintain pricing models to evaluate various pricing scenarios, including customer segmentation, cost structures, and competitive positioning.
  • Forecasting & Reporting: Develop pricing forecasts and provide regular reporting on pricing performance, highlighting opportunities for improvement and optimization.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, finance, and product management, to ensure alignment and successful implementation of pricing strategies.
  • Pricing Optimization: Identify opportunities to optimize pricing based on product lifecycle, customer segmentation, and other business factors.
  • Market Research: Conduct regular market research to assess customer willingness to pay, competitor pricing, and other external factors that may influence pricing decisions.
  • Pricing Governance: Establish and maintain pricing policies, procedures, and governance to ensure consistency and compliance with business objectives.
  • Training & Mentorship: Provide guidance and mentorship to junior analysts, sharing best practices and supporting their professional
  • development.

WHAT WE OFFER:

 

Compensation:

This is a salaried exempt role. The salary range for this role and market is between $88,000-115,500 annually.  Factors that may affect the starting salary include geography/market and the individual’s tenure, performance, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

 

Employees in this role are also eligible for annual bonus in accordance with the terms of the Company’s applicable plan.  Employees in this role are not eligible for overtime.

Qualifications

Education and/or Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business analytics, finance, business, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 3 years of related experience.

Other Special Requirements:

  • A passion for data analytics, business systems, problem solving and strategy.
  • Proven experience in developing and implementing pricing strategies to drive revenue and profitability.
  • Strong proficiency in pricing tools and analytics software
  • Expertise in analyzing large data sets and drawing actionable insights to inform pricing decisions.
  • Advanced understanding of pricing models, market research techniques, and financial analysis.
  • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills with the ability to synthesize complex information.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate pricing strategies to stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong business acumen and understanding of financial metrics and profitability drivers.

Core Computer Skills:

  • Experience with pricing software or enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems.
  • SAP and/or Vendavo based pricing are differentiators
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office applications. Advanced skills in Excel and PowerPoint.
