Job Description

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:

 

The Director of Indirect Sourcing and Finance is a dual-purpose senior leadership role that combines expertise in indirect sourcing with financial planning and analysis (FP&A). Reporting directly to the Vice President of Worldwide Sourcing, this position is responsible for leading a team of indirect sourcing managers to optimize spend in categories such as marketing, travel, human resources, IT, and facilities. Simultaneously, the Director will serve as the finance leader for the Worldwide Sourcing group, overseeing financial forecasting, commodity risk assessments, and collaboration with Segment and business unit finance teams. The ideal candidate will bring a strategic mindset, strong leadership skills, and a proven ability to deliver measurable results in both sourcing and financial domains.

 

Indirect Sourcing Leadership:

  •  Lead, mentor, and develop a team of indirect sourcing managers to achieve best-in-class procurement outcomes.
  •  Drive strategic initiatives to optimize indirect spend categories, including marketing, travel, human resources, IT, facilities, and other non-production expenditures.
  •  Negotiate contracts and build supplier relationships to ensure cost efficiency, quality, and value delivery.
  •  Implement processes and tools to enhance visibility, control, and savings across indirect spend globally.
  •  Partner with internal stakeholders to align sourcing strategies with business objectives.

Finance Leadership:

  •  Serve as the financial leader for the Worldwide Sourcing organization, providing insights and guidance to support decision-making.
  •  Develop and maintain accurate financial forecasts, budgets, and long-term plans for the Sourcing group.
  •  Conduct commodity risk assessments, identifying potential financial exposures and recommending mitigation strategies.
  •  Collaborate with Segment and business unit finance leaders to ensure alignment on financial goals, reporting, and performance metrics.
  •  Deliver actionable analysis to senior leadership, highlighting trends, risks, and opportunities within the Sourcing function.

Strategic Leadership:

  •  Act as a key member of the Worldwide Sourcing leadership team, contributing to the overall strategy and vision.
  •  Foster a culture of continuous improvement, accountability, and cross-functional collaboration.
  •  Monitor industry trends, market conditions, and economic factors to inform sourcing and financial strategies.

 

 

Qualifications

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in indirect sourcing/procurement and financial planning & analysis, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
  • Proven track record of driving cost savings and value creation in indirect spend categories (e.g., marketing, travel, HR, IT, facilities).
  • Strong financial acumen, including experience with budgeting, forecasting, and risk analysis; commodity risk management experience is a plus.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire high-performing teams in a fast-paced, global environment.
  • Exceptional negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience in a manufacturing or distribution company is highly preferred.
  • Proficiency in procurement and financial tools/systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Ariba, Power BI, or similar).
