Job Description

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

 

As an Inside Sales Representative II, you will operate under general supervision and be responsible for selling products, services, and supplies to a defined set of customers. Your role will involve quoting jobs, closing sales on assigned products, and potentially generating leads for outside sales staff. You will actively engage with our installed base to support company promotion and upgrade campaigns, with limited field activity occurring on an infrequent basis. Collaboration with and support for field sales is a key aspect of this role. 

 

  • Customer Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with customers by understanding their needs and providing exceptional service. Address customer inquiries, concerns, and requests promptly and professionally. 
  • Sales Planning: Develop and implement effective sales strategies and plans to meet or exceed sales targets. Identify opportunities for upselling and cross-selling products and services. 
  • Product Knowledge: Stay updated on the company's products, services, and industry trends. Be prepared to provide in-depth product knowledge and conduct product demonstrations when necessary. 
  • Sales Reporting: Maintain accurate and up-to-date sales records and reports, including customer profiles, sales activities, and pipeline updates. Provide regular sales forecasts to management. 
  • Lead Generation: Collaborate with marketing and other teams to identify and nurture leads. Qualify leads and convert them into sales opportunities. Follow up on leads generated from marketing campaigns. 
  • Sales Support: Assist customers with product selection, pricing inquiries, and order processing. Coordinate with the sales support team to ensure orders are fulfilled accurately and on time. 
  • Market Research: Stay informed about market trends, competitor offerings, and customer preferences. Share insights with the sales and marketing teams to adapt strategies accordingly. 
  • Customer Feedback: Collect and relay customer feedback to improve products and services. Address customer complaints or issues promptly and work towards resolution. 
  • Team Collaboration: Collaborate closely with the outside sales team to align efforts and maximize sales opportunities. Share knowledge and best practices to enhance overall team performance. 
  • Sales Tools: Utilize sales tools and technology, including Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software, to manage leads, track customer interactions, and streamline sales processes. 
  • Training and Development: Continuously enhance product knowledge and sales skills through training and development programs. Stay updated on industry certifications or qualifications. 

 

This role is based in the office Monday through Thursday, with the option to work remotely on Fridays.

Qualifications

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

 

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent preferred. 
  • Minimum of 2 years of related sales experience. 
  • Strong relationship-building skills. 
  • Excellent listening, persuasion, negotiation, and time management abilities. 
  • Knowledge of principles and methods for promoting and selling products or services. 
  • Familiarity with marketing strategy, product demonstration, sales techniques, and sales control systems. 
  • Understanding of customer service principles and processes. 
  • Proficient in written and verbal communication. 
  • Intermediate industry and product knowledge. 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Customer Relationship Management software. 

 

Compensation:

The total compensation range for this position is $57,800 – $71,400 and will be based on the candidate’s qualifications, experience, and education.

 

Benefits:

Depending on date of hire, and subject to applicable eligibility requirements, new employees in this role also receive up to: 12 days paid time off, 2 paid well-being days, 1 paid volunteer day, 10 paid holidays, and 3 floating holidays per year.
