Heatcraft Refrigeration is a long-standing leader in the world of commercial refrigeration, providing climate-control solutions. Their state-of-the-art manufacturing facilities in the cities of Stone Mountain and Tifton, Georgia, produce evaporators, condensers, compressor racks, and other top-quality refrigeration products for their six market-leading brands: Bohn, Larkin, Climate Control, Chandler, Magna Industrial and InterLink. Heatcraft products are primarily used to preserve food and other perishables in supermarkets, convenience stores, restaurants, warehouses and distribution centers, in addition to other applications such as data centers, pharmaceutical and industrial process cooling.

 

Location: Tifton, GA (100% Onsite)

Job Description

As the Quality Engineer Supervisor, you will lead engineers and technical support staff in applying advanced Quality Assurance/Control methods, theories and research techniques in the investigation and solution of complex technical problems.

  • Plan, organize, direct and control the work activities of staff including salaried and hourly workforce.
  • Identifies and shares training opportunities for staff to build and improve skills.
  • Manage and conduct research and development and technical programs which lead to improved products, increased output, or reduced costs.
  • Oversee programs under direction to ensure progress according to schedule and plans with respect to budgetary guidelines and work objectives.
  • Cross Functional Collaboration with internal teams to create an effective Supplier Corrective Action Request (SCAR) execution process, through root cause analysis, containment, corrective, and preventative measures.
  • Evaluate technical progress of projects to ensure sound application of scientific and engineering principles and adequate exploratory research to support the highest possible performance of the end product.
  • Provide technical and administrative guidance and direction for the accomplishment of department research and development projects.
  • Customer facing to provide responses in a timely manner and to close the loop on concerns raised
  • Travel will be required, approximate 50% to customer sites as needed
  • Demonstrate ability to prioritize team objectives and activities and in a dynamic environment

Qualifications

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

In order to be successful in this role, you will need to have the following:

 

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (STEM fields) is highly preferred. Master’s degree is preferred or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Requires at least 5 years related experience.
  • Work involves the application of more complex engineering principles to develop methods and procedures to improve and maintain product quality standards.
  • Competencies in SPC, Capability Studies, and Six Sigma.
  • Leadership ability

 

The Compensation range for this position is approximately $97,000 - $127,000 and will be based on the candidate’s qualification, experience, and education.
