Job Description

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

 

The Sourced Products Team has a simple mission: build an industry leading organization solely focused on parts and supplies and achieving excellence in all we do. To be successful, we need you: an elite category manager with a proven track record in achieving profitable top and bottom line growth through the overall life-cycle process management with the vision, motivation, and desire to be the best and nothing less.

 

About the role:

 

As Manager, Category Management you will establish and elevate our strategies and processes for managing the complete life-cycle of Sourced Products.

The newly created role reports to the Director of Category & Supplier Management. You will be empowered to build and execute our playbook for driving category growth in direct partnership with Sourcing, Supply Chain and Sales teams.  In addition to the responsibilities already mentioned, you will:

  • Continually benchmark your products and program offerings against key competitors, ensuring a superior offering for our customers
  • Analyzes market trends and supplier offerings and recommending changes to drive growth of the category
  • Research, evaluate and recommend enhancements to the sourced product offering
  • Develop and lead a category management team that will plan and execute all stages of product life cycle in support of category success
  • Work with executive management to set overall category management strategy, including the financial metrics and revenue generation goals
  • Lead commercialization strategy and execution for new product introductions in collaboration with supply chain and sales teams
  • In partnership with the merchandising specialist, design and maintain merchandising guidelines for your categories, generating new and innovative ideas while maintaining a consistent customer experience
  • In partnership with the Sales and Promotions team, manage, develop, and implement sales promotion and programs

Qualifications

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

 

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • An MBA or equivalent is preferred
  • At least 8 years related experience and at least 3 years of experience as a manager

  • Expertise in all aspects of successful category management life-cycle procedures and processes
  • Financial acumen and the ability to develop business plans that lead to profitable returns
  • Ability to rally cross-functional teams behind a common vision
  • Excellent communication skills with a variety of audiences, including corporate executives and diverse internal project teams
  • A commitment to fast learning in a technical field

WHAT WE OFFER: 

 

Compensation:

This is a salaried exempt role. The total compensation range for this role and market is between $113K to $148K annually.  Factors that may affect the starting salary include geography/market and the individual’s tenure, performance, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.   

 

Employees in this role are also eligible for an annual bonus in accordance with the terms of the Company’s applicable plan.  Employees in this role are not eligible for overtime.
