This Sr. Principal Engineer develops and applies mechanical engineering design methods, theories and research techniques in the investigation and solution of complex and advanced technical problems that require the expert application of advanced knowledge in the design and development of Residential HVAC Systems.

DUTIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

• Identification of creative solutions to customer needs based on connecting needs and technologies.
• Proactively identify new technologies to solve business problems or drive share growth.
• Provide practical insight to drive projects forward and mitigate risk.
• Assess reliability findings to make risk judgement calls for Residential HVAC Systems.
• Drive development activities with significant manufacturing and multi-plant complexity.
• Work with regulatory agencies on the application and interpretation of safety and performance standards.
• Get involved in industry committees and be a respected industry committee participant.
• Identify and implement opportunities to enhance growth and culture within the organization.
• Present balanced thoughtful evaluations of major programs and future roadmaps that facilitate business decisions.
• Be a technical visionary and critical business partner.
• Provide work leadership to other employees as needed.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

• Requires a bachelor’s degree in engineering. Master’s preferred.
• Requires at least 12 years of related experience.
• Skilled at subsystem design and the understanding of system level interactions.
• Ability to consistently deliver results and take ownership.
• Comfortable being sought out by the business to understand technical issues.
