AES a division of Lennox, was established in 1988 and is one of the largest manufacturers of roof curbs and drop box diffuser systems in the nation. We have recently expanded our capabilities as a single source supplier by adding a Mechanical Services Division as well as becoming a Misc. Steel manufacturer.  These new services will reduce construction costs and eliminate coordination with multiple suppliers and subcontractors.  Our focus will be to enhance the services provided to our General Contractor network nationwide.  AES has 4 different fabrication facility locations nationwide to assist our customers and reduce their freight cost and shipment lead timee

Job Description

A Material Handler with Lennox AES at our Reno, NV location is responsible for the efficient and organized movement of materials, products, and goods within our production facility. They are responsible for building pallets and crates to support shipping and production needs. This role is focused on hands-on, manual work in the woodshop area, including measuring, cutting, and assembling wooden components.

 

The Compensation for this position is $20.00 per hour. (Opportunity for Over Time!)

 

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

  • Build wooden pallets and crates according to specifications.
  • Measure, cut, and assemble materials with precision and efficiency.
  • Inspect wood products for defects and ensure quality control.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in the woodshop.
  • Report material shortages, equipment issues, or safety concerns to supervisors.
  • Support other team members as needed.
  • Follow work instructions and company safety guidelines at all times.
  • Cross-train and assist in other duties as assigned.
  • Perform routine maintenance on equipment and report any issues.
  • Cross-train and help in other areas depending on workload

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS: 

  • Ability to stand for extended periods.
  • Can read and use a tape measure.
  • Skilled in using hand and power tools, including wood cutting saws.
  • Works with a positive attitude and is a team player.
  • Ability to lift and move moderate to heavy objects.
  • Has an attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.

 

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

  • Previous manufacturing, warehouse, or construction experience.
  • Basic knowledge of safety protocols in a manufacturing environment.
  • Knowledge of how workflow operates in a production facility.
  • Knowledge of wood design and pallet design principles.
