Job Description

WHAT IS THE ROLE?

This role reports to the Director, Plant Operations in our Grenada, MS Manufacturing Plant. The Manager, Human Resources is responsible for driving the people strategy and providing functional leadership to the hourly and salaried employees at the Grenada, MS site.  They will lead the local HR Team in driving a positive employee experience through various programs and activities.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

More specifically, Manager, Human Resources will be responsible for: 

  1. Driving HR Strategy
    • You will own the business plans and execute various HR initiatives, including: Wage Structure, Ways to Drive ADP as an Employer of Choice, Engagement Planning, Charitable Giving, Recruiting and Retention, Cross-Functional Projects. This includes doing research, presenting findings and recommendations, gaining stakeholder support and buy-in, driving execution through your team, and conducting post-mortems to assess success.
  2. Leading an Onsite Team
    • Day-to-Day Team Leadership and Development: You will have an HR team of 4 direct reports, as well as a dotted line reporting relationship to a functional HR leader. This provides you with the support network needed to be successful in your role.
  3. Leading Employee Relations
    • You will be the onsite leader responsible for ensuring that employee relations are resolved in a timely manner that aligns with our core values of Integrity, Respect, and Excellence: As employee matters arise, you should partner with leadership to advise and offer recommendations for resolution, as well as partner with the appropriate COEs (i.e. Legal, Ethics and Compliance) when necessary. This includes conducting investigations to company expectations and upholding our core values of Integrity, Respect, and Excellence.
  4. Coaching People Leaders
    • One of the most critical factors of success is your ability to coach leaders at various levels, from front-line to Plant Director: You will demonstrate a strong ability to provide feedback and coaching to leaders on a variety of matters, including employee situations, feedback for their development, and difficult conversations.
  5. Owning Staffing, Retention, and Engagement
    • You will drive staffing the plant to required operating levels, implementing programs to drive retention and prevent attrition, and developing and executing engagement activities: This includes owning the reporting and metrics for these key responsibilities and providing data and insights to plant and ADP leadership. You will have the opportunity to work with your team to find innovative and fresh ideas and see those to fruition after gaining buy-in from your stakeholders.
  6. Building a Positive Brand in the Community
    • Scheduling community events: The HR team is a driver of charitable events throughout the year, which includes continuously explore opportunities to build community awareness, including community sponsorships, advertising, and other community activities in Grenada and the broader community.
  7. Partnering with COEs, other Plant HR, and ADP Corporate HR
    • We encourage best practice sharing: This means that you have great HR support teams that are a valuable resource for you in this role. You will be expected to partner with these times to drive your initiatives forward and learn best practices.

 

Qualifications

Requires a bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Requires at least 8 years related experience.

Requires advanced knowledge of governmental regulations and general HR practices. Must have experience resolving a wide range of employee relations problems. Advanced ability to encourage communication and resolve conflicts is essential. Must have excellent written and verbal skills.

Compensation:

This is a salaried exempt role. Factors that may affect the starting salary include geography/market and the individual’s tenure, performance, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

 

Employees in this role are also eligible for annual bonus in accordance with the terms of the Company’s applicable plan.  Employees in this role are not eligible for overtime.

Depending on date of hire, and subject to applicable eligibility requirements, new employees in this role also receive up to: 12 days paid time off, 2 paid well-being days, 1 paid volunteer day, 10 paid holidays, and 3 floating holidays per year.
