Job Description

As the Sr. Manager, Sales for Advanced Distributor Products, you will be responsible for a team of Sales Representatives who manage relationships and sell to our Distributor customers as well as managing our Regional Sales Managers and National Accounts Managers. You will play a key role in driving accountability, performance, and developing your sales team to be able to effectively represent the ADP brand. This job requires travel up to 75% of the time to visit ADP’s customers. 

 

 

 

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING

 

This Sr. Manager, Sales will be responsible for achieving team sales goals within a defined geographic area.

 

Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Develop and manage a team of sales professionals to achieve sales targets and grow the ADP brand across North America.
  • Offer guidance, coaching, and support to team members, enabling them to excel in their roles and meet individual and team goals.
  • Proactively engage with customers, field sales team, product team, and factory team to build product strategies and growth plans for customers.
  • Develop and nurture strong relationships with distributors and sales agencies across North America. Regularly engage with them to understand their needs, address concerns, and provide exceptional customer service.
  • Present periodic reports and updates to senior management regarding ADP sales performance, field needs, and market insights.
  • Monitor and analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to identify business opportunities and adjust sales strategies accordingly.
  • Set sales targets and performance goals for the team and provide regular feedback, coaching, and support to ensure their success.
  • Establishes sales objectives by forecasting and developing annual sales plans, projecting expected sales volume and profit for new and existing products
  • Effectively manage and proactively lead strategic discussion and lead implementation of the strategic plan to maximize revenues
  • Achieve defined sales targets and expense objectives
  • Actively define, lead and manage the strategic and tactical direction of the sales teams; aligning the sales team and manufacturer’s rep agencies to growth targets
  • Effectively define and present information to executive management team regarding performance, plans, and projections. Including development and reporting of monthly scorecard, forecast and sales report updates
  • Build and strengthen relationships with key players/decision makers at our major distributors
  • Effectively communicate between all internal departments, to help manage projects, and foster open and honest communication
  • Proactively set up leadership and management metrics for Regional Sales Managers including management of sales incentive programs for Regional Sales Managers
  • Manage and lead the opportunity pipeline quotation process, and new business development objectives.
  • Represent Company at trade shows, trade association and client meetings to promote products and services
  • Support the process to help assist in resolving customer complaints regarding sales
  • Initiate and take ownership of the creation, development, and implementation of sales processes and procedures.

Qualifications

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

  • Requires a bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Requires at least 8 years related experience
  • Requires expert abilities with building relationships, listening, persuading, negotiating, and managing time
  • Requires expert or specialized knowledge of principles and methods for promoting and selling products or services. This includes marketing strategy and tactics, product demonstration, and sales techniques.
  • Knows principles and processes for providing customer service. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction
  • Expert at written and verbal communication
  • Requires HVAC industry and product knowledge
  • Experience in Two-Step Distribution Model preferred.
  • Must be able to use Microsoft Office and Customer Relationship Management software
