Job Description

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

 

The Commercial Quoting Specialist is an individual contributor responsible for managing and responding to commercial quote requests originating from the Residential Division. This role plays a key part in driving commercial sales growth by supporting residential-qualified dealers and ensuring timely, accurate, and competitive quoting. The position will collaborate closely with Residential Inside Sales Representatives (ISRs), Territory Managers, and other cross-functional teams to support commercial opportunities and enhance dealer engagement.

 

The Commercial Sales Specialist - Residential Division Support is an individual contributor accountable for increasing commercial sales through qualified residential dealers. This role will achieve individual revenue goals based on assigned accounts and incoming requests. This role is also responsible for supporting the inside sales team's strategies communicated by the Inside Sales leader. This role will report to the Inside Sales leader and will collaborate with the Lead Gen, CTMs, Account Advocates, and Residential ISRs/Territory Managers.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Qualifies, quotes, and closes commercial opportunities generated from our Residential Division.
  • Processes inbound commercial requests from qualified residential dealers.
  • Develops strategies to increase commercial sales through the existing residential dealer network.
  • Participates in sales calls to support Residential Inside Sales Representatives (ISRs) and Territory Managers with commercial opportunities.
  • Leverages overlay product specialists as needed to unlock expansion opportunities within commercial quotes.
  • Monitors commercial market spend from residential dealers and their relationship with Lennox, identifying high-potential accounts for further commercial development.
  • Coordinates with Territory Managers to ensure smooth collaboration on commercial opportunities originating from the Residential Division.
  • Provide feedback to sales leadership on market trends and dealer needs related to commercial quoting.

Qualifications

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

 

Experience:

  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience in sales support, quoting, or inside sales, preferably in HVAC or a related industry.
  • Experience with quoting and proposal generation.
  • Familiarity with commercial HVAC products and solutions is a plus.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Sales/Marketing, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Skills:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM tools.
  • Experience with Lennox systems (C4C, Qlik, SAP, FPX, HubSpot) is a plus.
  • Knowledge of principles and methods of showing, promoting, and selling products or services, including marketing strategy, sales techniques, and CRM systems management.
  • Advanced verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across departments and with external partners.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

This position includes a base salary, commission, and an incentive plan. The compensation range of $60 to 75k for this role is 65% base salary plus 35% commission at the plan and additional incentives with an uncapped commission structure. Compensation is based on the candidate’s qualifications, experience, and education.
