Job Description

We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Senior Manager, New Business, to lead our efforts in identifying, developing, and securing new business opportunities within the Residential HVAC industry. The ideal candidate leads a team supporting the complete life cycle of new business development to include our lead generation, new customer onboarding and new business processes including proposal development and execution across North America.  

 

 

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:

 

  • Business Development & Strategy: 
    • Lead the identification, development, and execution of new business strategies in the residential HVAC sector. 
    • Drive market research and analysis to identify trends, new opportunities, and potential partnerships. 
    • Develop and implement actionable sales and marketing strategies aimed at increasing market share and profitability. 
    • Continuously evolve the new business insight and process to ensure short term and long term success through sustainable process improvements that become building blocks to become a best in class function.
  • Lead Generation & New Customer Onboarding: 
    • Collaborate with Marketing, Sales and other internal teams to ensure successful new business solutions are provided that exceed customer expectations and drive customer retention.
    • Oversee our new customer onboarding process in partnership with our field leadership to ensure a smooth transition, development and that all client requirements are met to include the development of Success Partners and their Success Tool Kit. 
    • Manage and further develop our lead generation process in collaboration ensuring all opportunities are tracked, followed up, and closed on time. 
  • Sales Leadership & Team Development: 
    • Lead a team of new business professionals, providing guidance, mentorship, and training to ensure consistent performance and goal attainment. 
    • Monitor team progress against sales targets and KPIs, providing performance feedback and support where necessary. 
    • Foster a culture of collaboration, high performance, and continuous improvement. 
    • Develop a team that is capable of being the next level leaders in the sales organization. 
  • Financial Management: 
    • Work with senior leadership to develop sales forecasts and necessary budget to deliver overall growth of the business. 
    • Monitor and manage the profitability of new business projects, ensuring alignment with company financial goals. 
  • Collaboration & Cross-Functional Support: 
    • Drive cross functional partner engagement and alignment to deliver the required new business results and process improvements. 
    • Establish strong partnerships with our regional leadership, as well as field based sales & stores teams on new business initiatives & goals. 
    • Provide feedback to corporate and field teams on market demands, customer preferences, and potential new business opportunities. 

 

This position is based in the office, Monday through Friday.  

Qualifications

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR: 

 

  • Education & Experience: 
    • Bachelor's degree in business or related field.
    • 8+ years of experience in business development or sales leadership within the residential HVAC or related industries. 
    • Requires at least 3+ years people leadership experience. 
    • Proven track record of generating new business, managing client relationships, and achieving sales goals. 
  • Skills & Competencies: 
    • Strong knowledge of the residential HVAC industry, including products, services, and key market players. 
    • Track record of process development and continuous improvement. 
    • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation skills. 
    • Ability to lead and motivate a high-performing team. 
    • Excellent strategic thinking, analytical skills, and problem-solving abilities. 
    • Proficient in CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce) and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word). 
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities. 

 

Compensation:

This is a salaried exempt role.  The base salary range for this position is $148,000 to $194,000 and will be based on the candidate’s qualifications, experience, and education.  This position is also eligible for bonuses subject to the company’s compensation plan.

 

Benefits:

Depending on date of hire, and subject to applicable eligibility requirements, new employees in this role also receive agreed upon paid time off, 2 paid well-being days, 1 paid volunteer day, 10 paid holidays, and 3 floating holidays per year.
