WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

 

About the role:

 

We are seeking a strategic and results-driven Manager to lead our Category Management team. This role is pivotal in shaping our product assortment, pricing strategies, and promotion activities to enhance customer satisfaction and drive business growth. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in category management, exceptional leadership skills and a deep understanding of market dynamics.

 

Key Responsibilities:
• Strategic Planning & Execution: Develop and implement comprehensive category strategies that align with company objectives, focusing on assortment planning, pricing, and promotional activities
• Leadership & Development: Lead, mentor, and develop a team of category managers and analysts, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture
• Reporting & Insights: Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) to track the success of category initiatives and provide actionable insights to senior management
• Market Analysis: Analyze market trends, customer preferences, and competitor performance to identify opportunities for growth and improvement within categories
• Performance Monitoring: Conduct regular performance reviews of products within the category, identifying underperforming items and proposing corrective actions
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with marketing, sales, and operations teams to develop and execute effective merchandising and promotional campaigns that align with category objectives
• Inventory Management: Partner closely with supply chain teams to prevent stockouts and overstocks

Qualifications

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

 

Requirements:


• Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience in Business Administration or a related field; MBA preferred
• Minimum 8 years in managing a category or product assortment
• At least 3 years of experience as a people manager of a category or product management team

 

What you bring to the team:


• Strong analytical and strategic thinking abilities with strong financial acumen and the ability to develop business plans that lead to profitable returns
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and category management software
• Excellent communication skills with a variety of audiences and presentation styles, including corporate executives and diverse internal project teams
• Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks effectively
• Strong leadership and team development skills

 

 

WHAT WE OFFER: 

 

Compensation:

This is a salaried exempt role. The total compensation range for this role and market is between $113K to $148K annually.  Factors that may affect the starting salary include geography/market and the individual’s tenure, performance, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.   

 

Employees in this role are also eligible for an annual bonus in accordance with the terms of the Company’s applicable plan.  Employees in this role are not eligible for overtime.

 

Benefits:

Depending on date of hire, and subject to applicable eligibility requirements, new employees in this role also receive up to: 12 days paid time off, 2 paid well-being days, 1 paid volunteer day, 10 paid holidays, and 3 floating holidays per year.
