Controls Engineering at Lennox leads innovative product development, with its array of new products in the recent years and has been an integral part of the product development and research team. System verification has been the core of controls engineering in maintaining the quality of release of all the New and Maintenance firmware release cycles.

 

DUTIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

 

  • Develop and execute iOS and Android Mobile APP test plans, test cases, and scripts to evaluate different aspects of mobile applications, including functionality, performance, usability, security, and compatibility.
  • Define testing scope, objectives, and deliverables for mobile testing activities.
  • Identify opportunities for APP test automation and implement automated testing solutions to improve efficiency and test coverage.
  • Utilize various testing methodologies and tools to ensure thorough and efficient testing.
  • Evaluate and recommend appropriate testing tools and technologies for mobile application testing.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders (product managers, developers, etc.) to understand application requirements and identify potential testing needs.
  • Oversee the execution of mobile application testing, including functional, performance, usability, security, and compatibility testing.
  • Work with team leads to monitor progress and ensure timely completion of testing activities.
  • Track and manage defects identified during testing, ensuring proper documentation and prioritization.
  • Analyze test results from QA, Field Trial and Production environments and identify areas for improvement in the mobile application.
  • Mentor a team of mobile testers, providing guidance, support, and training.
  • Foster a collaborative and productive work environment within the testing team.
  • Facilitate communication and knowledge sharing among team members.
  • Prepare and deliver comprehensive test reports to stakeholders, highlighting test results, defects, and recommendations.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders (developers, product managers, project managers) to provide updates on testing progress, risks, and issues.
  • Collaborate with development teams to resolve defects and improve application quality.
  • Participate in project meetings and provide insights into testing activities and results.
  • Ensure that mobile applications meet quality standards and adhere to best practices in testing and development.
  • Advocate for a culture of quality assurance within the development team.

Qualifications

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

 

Education Requirements:

  • BS in Electrical, Electronics, Computer or similar engineering discipline required. MS preferred.
    • Mobile App Testing certifications preferred.

 

Technical Skills:

  • 5+ years of professional experience in testing.
  • Strong understanding of mobile application development and testing methodologies, tools, and techniques.
  • Experience technically leading mobile testing teams.
  • Experience with various mobile platforms (iOS, Android) and devices.
  • Knowledge of software development lifecycles and testing methodologies.
  • Experience with automated testing tools and frameworks.
  • Experience in Mobile APP testing tools like Calabash, Ranorex or TestGrid.
  • System verification of embedded products with graphical user interface and hardware I/O’s.
  • Experience with HVAC domain.
  • Knowledge in Software Engineering concepts, Quality processes and tools.

 

Teaming/Soft Skills:

  • Ability to solve problems independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to conduct effective technical reviews and guide team members through their challenges.
  • Flexibility to travel locally and internationally.

Benefits

WHAT WE OFFER: 

 

Compensation: This is a salaried exempt role. The starting salary range for this role and market is between $95,000 - $115,000 annually. Factors that may affect starting salary include geography/market and the skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate. This position is also eligible for the BroadBase Incentive (BBI) program with a target payout of 2%. Employees in this role are not eligible for overtime.

 

Location and Schedule: This position is located in Carrollton, TX and will be in the office Monday through Friday.
