Job Description

Product Manager, Commercial Equipment

 

At Allied Air, the Product Management and Marketing teams are a collaborative group of high-performers who pave the way to success for our business unit.

 

What You Will Be Doing

As a Product Manager Lead at Allied Air Enterprises, you will be responsible for developing and executing comprehensive product strategies to drive the adoption and success of our products. This includes strategic planning, development, and lifecycle management of our commercial HVAC portfolio, with direct responsibility for the Allied Commercial rooftop product line. You will collaborate closely with the Lennox Commercial Business Unit and cross-functional teams—including engineering, marketing, sales, finance, distribution, and customer support—to ensure alignment with market needs and business objectives. We seek a subject matter expert who will guide product development initiatives and champion enhancements that strengthen competitiveness and drive customer satisfaction.

 

Product Management

  • Be a thought/vision leader for the commercial product family and how we improve the channel to market
  • Work closely with the Lennox Commercial Product team to prioritize development of new features and products.
  • Support the development and execution of a comprehensive product strategy and roadmap
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to create compelling product documentation, including specifications, and training materials.
  • Help define product requirements, features, and functionality based on market needs and collaborate with engineering teams for product development.

Commercialization Strategy

  • Collaborate with the Allied Air and Lennox Commercial marketing teams to develop effective product positioning, messaging, and go-to-market strategies.
  • Support the Allied Sales teams by providing technical expertise, training, and product knowledge to drive successful product adoption and revenue growth.
  • Conduct product demonstrations, presentations, and customer training sessions to showcase product capabilities and benefits in support of new business opportunities.

What We Are Looking For

  • Basic knowledge of HVAC systems and basic technical understanding of products.
  • Proactive, self-motivated, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Basic project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks, manage deadlines, and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to translate technical terms to product features and customer value proposition.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field.
  • 4-5 years of direct product management in a manufactured product industry.
  • HVAC industry experience preferred.
  • Willingness to travel up to 20% required.

Other Work Requirements

  • This is an on-site role based in West Columbia, SC (This position is 100% onsite, requiring attendance in the office 5 days a week, Monday-Friday.)

 

What We Offer

WHAT WE OFFER: 

 

Compensation: This is a salaried exempt role. The starting salary range for this role and market is between $110,000.00 - $143,850.00 annually. Factors that may affect starting salary include geography/market and the skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate. Employees in this role are also eligible for an annual bonus  in accordance with the terms of the Company’s applicable plan. Employees in this role are not eligible for overtime.

 

Benefits: Subject to applicable eligibility requirements, the following benefits are offered for this role: tuition reimbursement; medical, dental, and vision insurance; prescription drug coverage; 401(k) retirement plan; short-term disability insurance; 8 weeks paid birthing leave; 2 weeks paid bonding leave; life and long-term disability insurance.

 

Depending on date of hire, and subject to applicable eligibility requirements, new employees in this role also receive up to: 12 days paid time off, 2 paid well-being days, 1 paid volunteer day, 12 paid holidays, and 1 floating holidays per year.
