As an Intern at Lennox, you will be a part of a team of innovative and knowledgeable industry professionals. You can expect to participate in impactful, developmental projects designed for your specific area of focus. This is approximately a 10 to 12-week program that will provide you with real work experiences to grow your career and provide exposure to business leaders throughout the company.

The Category Analyst Intern will support the category management team by analyzing product assortments, sales, and inventory to optimize the product offering and pricing and placement strategies. This role involves using tools like Excel, Qlik, or SAP and the candidate will collaborate with cross-functional team members including: supplier management, supply and demand planning, stores marketing, merchandising, and the field sales teams to gather (and analyze) information required to launch new products.

As the Category Analyst Intern, projects may include:

• Collecting and analyzing sales data, competitive intelligence, and customer feedback to inform category strategies

• Assisting the category management team with new product creation

• Preparing reports on performance of new products

• Assisting with the resolution of product holds

• Documenting processes and best practices for long-term scalability

WHAT DO YOU NEED TO SUCCEED? 

Required Qualifications: 

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel and PowerPoint

• Strong analytical skills and ability to work with sales and product data

• Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail

• Positive, can-do attitude with a solid work ethic

• Passion for retail, merchandising, and business

WHAT WILL GIVE YOU AN EDGE? 

Preferred Qualifications: 

• Pursuing a degree in Business, Marketing, Product Management, Merchandising, or related field

• Familiarity with SAP or similar ERP systems

• Previous experience in marketing, retail, or customer service

• Strong sense of curiosity and ability to “dig in” to find insights

• Entrepreneurial spirit and drive to contribute innovative ideas

Requires a high school diploma or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Entry Level.

Developing professional knowledge in the area of expertise. Solid written and verbal communication skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office.

Compensation: This is an hourly non-exempt role. The starting pay range for this role and market is between $19.80 - $22/hour This rate is based on the intern's current year in their respective university programs. Graduate students may receive a higher rate of pay based on their year in school. Employees in this role are also eligible to earn overtime when they work more than 40 hours in a week (or as otherwise required by state law).
