Job Description

As a Supply Planning Co-Op at Lennox, you will be a part of a team of innovative and knowledgeable industry professionals. You can expect to participate in impactful, developmental projects designed for your specific area of focus. Co-ops are generally part-time roles that you complete alongside your classes throughout the semester. As a Lennox Co-op you will be provided with real work experiences to grow your career and provide exposure to business leaders throughout the company. 

Successful co-ops will have the potential opportunity of joining Lennox Full-Time upon graduation or internship opportunities prior to graduation. Relocation and/or travel may be required for your position.

 

The role of the Parts Supply Planning Co-Op is to provide functional support to the Supply Planning and Forecasting team. 

With oversight, this role works with the manufacturers/Suppliers, Accounts Payable and Warehouses to minimize disruptions to service levels by managing timely inventory receipts, invoice discrepancies and warehouse receiving discrepancies. This role will also be challenged with inventory rebalancing functions which will drive overall working capital reductions.

This role is seeking someone who can start immediately and work during the school year onsite at our Richardson, TX office.

WHAT DO YOU NEED TO SUCCEED? 

 

Required Qualifications: 

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills 

  • Proficiency in Excel, particularly with data analysis and large datasets

  • Knowledge of general supply chain distribution

  • Pursuing a degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Statistics, MIS, or a related field

  • Supplier communication skills with the ability to create and manage Purchase Orders

  • Demonstrated ability to be a team player while working independently

WHAT WILL GIVE YOU AN EDGE? 

 

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Strong data mining and analysis skills

  • Background or experience in SAP or other ERP systems

  • Experience in vendor/supplier management and problem resolution (including PO follow ups and invoice reconciliation)

  • Well organized & detail oriented with strong attention to detail

  • Strong critical thinking skills with the ability to identify and solve problems

  • Prior internship or professional experience in supply chain or supplier development

Qualifications

Requires current enrollment at an accredited college or university. 

Developing professional knowledge in the area of expertise. Solid written and verbal communication skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office.

What We Offer

Compensation: This is an hourly non-exempt role. The starting pay range for this role and market is between $19.80-$22.00/hour. This rate is based on the intern's current year in their respective university programs. Graduate students may receive a higher rate of pay based on their year in school. Employees in this role are also eligible to earn overtime when they work more than 40 hours in a week (or as otherwise required by state law).
