Heatcraft products are primarily used to preserve food and other perishables in supermarkets, convenience stores, restaurants, warehouses and distribution centers, in addition to other applications such as data centers, pharmaceutical and industrial process cooling.

Job Description

 

Location: Stone Mountain, GA (100% Onsite)

 

The Controls Systems Architect is responsible for developing, standardizing, and advancing Heatcraft’s control system technologies to ensure performance, reliability, and consistency across products.

 

  • Develop and document control algorithms to improve system performance, reliability, and diagnostics.
  • Define engineering specifications and contribute to the standardization of control system platforms.
  • Coordinate electronics and software design projects with internal teams and external partners, ensuring requirements, documentation, milestones, and schedules are met.
  • Oversee supplier hardware and firmware designs to confirm compliance with requirements.
  • Lead feasibility studies, modeling, analysis, verification & validation, and system integration.
  • Develop sequence of operation and P&ID
  • Create wiring diagrams and control schematics.
  • Provide technical support to regional engineers and assist with field issue resolution.
  • Conduct field testing, analyze results, and validate system performance.
  • Support product release through Stage-Gate processes, design handoffs, product literature, and service training.

Qualifications

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

To be successful in this role, you will need to have the following:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering is preferred or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Requires at least 5 years related experience.
  • Strong knowledge in controls hardware, software, and algorithms.
  • Expertise in integration of the electronic controls subsystems.
  • Proficient in system modeling and simulation.
  • Able to perform circuit analysis to determine power, currents and voltages for all circuit components.
  • Knowledge of troubleshooting and root cause analysis methods.
  • Good understanding and hands on experience on Reliability tools.
  • Excellent coordinating with cross functional team across global.
  • Broad knowledge about developing and documenting electronic qualification testing.
  • Able to manage vendors and suppliers for project delivery and integration.
  • Knowledge of reliability procedures and how to design to meet reliability goals.
  • Excellent oral and written communications skills.
  • Familiar with concepts and processes of root cause analysis and correction and failure modes effect analysis.

What We Offer

Compensation: This is a salaried exempt role. The starting salary range for this role and market is between $102,000 -  $134,000 annually. Factors that may affect starting salary include geography/market and the skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate. Employees in this role are also eligible for an annual bonus in accordance with the terms of the Company’s applicable plan. Employees in this role are not eligible for overtime.
