What Drives Success

The Tool & Die Supervisor oversees a team responsible for constructing, maintaining, modifying, and calibrating machine shop tools, dies, and gauges. This role ensures that schedules, repairs, and equipment needs are met while driving continuous improvement in production processes. The supervisor will provide leadership, instruction, and technical expertise while collaborating across departments to support business goals. 

  • Lead and supervise tool & die personnel to ensure high-quality workmanship. 
  • Provide training and instruction on effective repair techniques. 
  • Establish and manage daily, weekly, and monthly tool & die schedules. 
  • Plan and coordinate tool & die activities during annual and semi-annual shutdowns. 
  • Participate in selecting and maintaining production and support dies. 
  • Collaborate in cross-functional and interdivisional task force groups. 
  • Monitor daily Tool and Die downtime impact and develop corrective countermeasures. 
  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair equipment to minimize downtime.

What We Are Looking For

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor’s degree preferred. 
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant tool & die or machine shop experience. 
  • Strong mathematical and analytical skills. 
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and diagrams. 
  • Skilled in setting up and operating manual or EDM machine tools with exacting tolerances. 
  • Experience in diagnosing and repairing complex progressive, forming, and stamping dies. 
  • Proficient in the use of precision measurement devices. 
  • Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office; SAP knowledge preferred. 

 

 

Physical Requirements 

  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and reach for extended periods of time. 
  • Regularly lift and move up to 35 pounds.
  • Use of hands and fingers to handle tools, equipment, and materials. 
  • Visual ability to read blueprints, diagrams, and measurement devices accurately. 
  • Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, moving machinery, and varying temperatures. 

What We Offer

Compensation: This is a salaried exempt role. The starting salary range for this role and market is between $74,000 - $97,000 annually. Factors that may affect starting salary include geography/market and the skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate. Employees in this role are also eligible for an annual bonus in accordance with the terms of the Company’s applicable plan. Employees in this role are not eligible for overtime.
