What Drives Success

 

We are seeking a detail-oriented Fixed Assets Accountant to perform accounting tasks in a shared services environment. You will be responsible for ensuring accurate transactions, providing assurance that our accounting practices adhere to financial reporting and other standard accounting procedures, and performing general ledger entries and account reconciliations.

 

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

  • Prepare and post journal entries related to fixed assets additions, disposal, and transfers.
  • Reconcile fixed asset sub-ledgers to the general ledger, ensuring accuracy and resolving any variances or discrepancies in a timely manner
  • Maintain the fixed asset register and ensure accurate asset tagging, classification, and useful life assignment.
  • Assist in reviewing Review capital expenditure (CapEx) requests for compliance with company policies.
  • Coordinate and perform periodic physical asset verifications and assist with asset impairment reviews.
  • Support monthly and quarterly close activities, including roll-forward schedules and reports.
  • Participate in onboarding accounting functions from various Business Units to Financial Shared Services, with a focus on fixed asset processes.
  • Support internal and external audit requests, ensuring compliance with company policies and US GAAP.
  • Maintain and improve internal controls over fixed asset accounting and related financial reporting.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Operations, FP&A, and Project Management to ensure timely and accurate asset capitalization.

What We Are Looking For

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance
  • CPA preferred
  • 2–4 years of experience
  • Working knowledge of US GAAP and fixed asset accounting concepts.
  • Hands-on experience in financial accounting & reporting

 Technical Skills:

  • MS suite (Excel, PowerPoint and Word)
  • SAP ERP experience highly desired
  • Working knowledge of inventory and cost account, a plus
  • Hyperion ESSBASE, a plus

 

Soft Skills:

  • Ability to work independently and in teams
  • Strong accounting knowledge, fact-finding skills, and ability to provide solutions
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrate good judgment, attention to detail and good problem-solving skills
  • Manage multiple tasks while meeting deadlines through good organization and prioritization
  • Ability to work closely with personnel from various departments and all levels of management
  • Strong critical reasoning skills, independent judgment, and objectivity

What We Offer

Compensation: This is a salaried exempt role. The starting salary range for this role and market is between $72,800 - $95,550 annually. Factors that may affect starting salary include geography/market and the skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate. Employees in this role are also eligible for an annual bonus in accordance with the terms of the Company’s applicable plan. Employees in this role are not eligible for overtime.
