What Drives Success

The Senior Controls Engineer serves as an expert in electrical, electronic, and electromechanical systems. Responsibilities include specifying, developing, and qualifying embedded electronic controls and algorithms for refrigeration systems, supporting cross-functional teams, coordinating lab and engineering efforts, and acting as a liaison with trade associations. The role involves hands-on programming, troubleshooting, creating wiring schematics, project management, documentation of best practices, and ensuring compliance with safety standards. 

  • Specify, develop and qualify embedded electronic controls and strategies for Refrigeration systems from ideation to the launch.
  • Support NPI and sustaining teams with controls and electrical expertise.
  • Provide technical controls support for sales and field services team.
  • Support Lab with controls, metrology, instrumentation and electrical expertise.
  • Hands-on experience with programming and  troubleshooting
  • Coordinates the efforts of engineers, CAD designers and technical support staff.
  • Expected to learn and follow company procedures and standards.
  • Will manage multiple projects/tasks including schedule and goal management.
  • Will lead engineering tasks for multi-stage product development projects.
  • Travel 5-10%.

What We Are Looking For

To be successful in this role, you will need to have the following:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (preferred) and 7+ years relevant experience
  • Experience in controls design, component selection, wiring diagrams
  • HVAC/Refrigeration a strong benefit
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • SAP experience is a plus

What We Offer

Compensation: This is a salaried exempt role. We are considering candidates at Levels III through V for this position. The salary range is approximately $102,000 to $186,000 and will be based on the individual’s experience, education, and qualifications. Factors that may affect starting salary include geography/market and the skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate. Employees in this role are also eligible for an annual bonus in accordance with the terms of the Company’s applicable plan. Employees in this role are not eligible for overtime.
