Under general supervision, assists engineers in testing and inspecting products at various stages of the production process and compiles and evaluates statistical data to determine and maintain quality and reliability of products.
Should have extensive CMM experience with strong proficiency in PC-DMIS. Demonstrates the ability to interpret drawings, understand datum, and determine optimal way to measure complex part forms. Selects products for testing at specified stages in production and tests such parameters as dimensions, performance, mechanical, chemical, or electrical characteristics. Sets up and performs destructive and nondestructive tests (under various lighting, temperature, etc., conditions) on materials, parts, or products to measure performance, life, or material characteristics. Performs quality control inspections, checks, and tests during the manufacture of products. Inspects materials, parts and products at different stages of production. Records observations and may make recommendations for improving processes. May work in any of the following areas of quality control: incoming material, process control, product evaluation, inventory control, product reliability, or research and development.
Compensation: This is a salaried non-exempt role. This means that employees are paid a salary and also receive overtime pay when they work more than 40 hours in a week (or as otherwise required by state law). The starting salary range for this role and market is between $48,000 - $63,000 annually. Factors that may affect starting salary include geography/market and the skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
Employees in this role are also eligible for a bonus in accordance with the terms of the Company’s applicable plan.
