The Strategic Reliability team is looking for an experienced reliability engineer to join our team. This individual will take a leading role in promoting Design for Reliability (DfR) activities and collaborating with the Component Engineering and Platform Engineering design teams to deliver increasing levels of product reliability. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 10 years in product design and design for reliability roles.

 

DUTIES INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

 

Responsible for implementing core reliability activities such as product requirements management, design for reliability in product development, and promoting robust design approaches:

  •  Participate in all phases of product development, product implementation, advanced problem solving and continuous improvement.
  •  Manage DFR deliverables outlined in the toll-gate process in a timely fashion.
  •  Facilitate DFMEA sessions to drive design choices and improve validation test planning.
  •  Coach design engineers through DfR activities (ex: DFMEA, DVP&R).
  •  Provide relevant data and analysis for reliability goal setting.
  •  Provide expertise in test planning and reliability data analysis.
  •  Provide coaching in the area of root cause analysis and physics of failure analysis.
  •  Chair Failure Reporting Analysis & Corrective Action System (FRACAS) Failure Review Board and Early Launch Containment (ELC) processes.

 

Leading continuous improvement projects:

  • Identifying and documenting use, installation & environmental profiles.
  • Documenting reliability centric lessons learned for various HVACR products & components.
  • Leading the creation of design standards that impact reliability.
  • Own reliability allocation.

What We Are Looking For

  • Requires at least 10 years related experience.
  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering.
  • Graduate level reliability engineering classes.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead by influence.
  • Ability to effectively communicate complex technical information in a clear and concise manner.
  • Demonstrated ability in root cause analysis and physics of failure analysis.
  • Demonstrated ability to solve data driven and analytical problems.
  • Demonstrated experience working with and improving reliability of electro-mechanical systems.
  • Demonstrated application of Design for Reliability tools.
  • Working knowledge of applied statistics and experience with statistical software such as Weibull++ and Minitab.

What We Offer

Compensation: This is a salaried exempt role. The starting salary range for this role and market is between $133,000 - $160,000 annually. Factors that may affect starting salary include geography/market and the skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate. This position is also eligible for the Short Term Incentive (STI) bonus program with a target payout of 10%. Employees in this role are not eligible for overtime.

 

Location and Schedule: This position is located in Carrollton, TX and will be in the office Monday through Friday.
