What Drives Success

The Strategic Sourcing Analyst supports N. American inbound shipments of raw material and components into LII factories and DCs by developing partnerships with internal customers and utilizing internal and external data resources.  This analyst assists with reviewing procedures for distribution to maximize material cost reduction, customer satisfaction and minimize overall landed cost. Continuously building and maintaining healthy relationships within the company’s business and their partnerships.

  • Day to day management of Transportation Management (TMS) tool and resources, timely communications with suppliers, carriers, Lennox factories and Distribution centers to ensure on time deliveries.
  • New supplier set up and organize on board training with the TMS tool.
  • Ensuring that the organization deals in low cost, high quality, and dependable transportation services. Explore logistics cost saving opportunities, process improvements.
  • Assisting in the development and management of strategic transportation initiatives. (i.e., carrier performance management, escalations, shipping line optimizations and consolidation opportunities, support transportation cost saving and system integration projects)
  • Identifying and assisting with the development of strategic business relationships both internally and externally.
  • Gathering and providing periodic analysis reports. (on time delivery, expedite cost, BU transportation spending, carrier performance, etc.)
  • Analyzing, examining, and determining transportation market trends and conditions.
  • Participating in project management and enterprise resource planning programs. (provide logistics support for New Product Introduction, Finance planning and budgeting supporting data per request, etc.)
  • Managing, tracking, and monitoring the company’s costs, market fluctuations, and supplier or carrier performance.
  • Reducing lead time and increasing consistency by working with certain supply chain tools and technologies.
  • Preparing analytical reports and industry outlooks for upper management.

 

What We Are Looking For

 

  • A Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, operations, logistics or industrial. engineering, and one year related experience or combination of education and experience.
  • Use of MS Office, SAP (MRP), Excel (Pivot, Power Query), Power BI is a plus.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, to communicate effectively with suppliers, buyers, carriers, and internal team members.
  • Good analytical skills, collection of data, analysis with paying attention to details, visualization, presentations, drive actions from data analysis
  • Strong interpersonal skills to develop and maintain positive professional relationships with clients, suppliers, vendors, and shipping companies.
  • Good problem-solving skills to think critically and analyze complex information in order to handle arising issues.

What We Offer

 

Compensation: This is a salaried exempt role. The starting salary range for this role and market is between $82,000-$107,100 annually. Factors that may affect starting salary include geography/market and the skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate. Employees in this role are also eligible for an annual bonus in accordance with the terms of the Company’s applicable plan. Employees in this role are not eligible for overtime.
