What Drives Success

As a Commercial Business Manager, you will identify opportunities for business expansion.

 

Responsibilities include:

  • Manage business development program focused on new customer acquisition.
  • Assist and mentor sales team in onboarding new customers.
  • Evaluate current business development program with understanding of potential need for evolution to match business landscape.
  • Develop relationships with key strategic accounts and manage strategic account initiative.
  • Coordinate with marketing operations team to manage lead pipeline and implement processes to convert MQL’s to SQL’s
  • Coordinate with lead generation team to properly qualify leads and assign to proper sales channel.
  • Develop strategy and implement utility rebate program.
  • Assist in developing and implementing corporate sales strategies.

What We Are Looking For

  • Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • At least 8 years related experience.
  • Strong understanding of marketing strategy, sales techniques, and sales processes.
  • Knowledgeable of the industry and our competitors.
  • Expert abilities with building relationships, listening, persuading, negotiating and managing time.
  • Knowledge of principles and methods for showing, promoting, and selling products or services. This includes marketing strategy and tactics, product demonstration, sales techniques, and sales control systems.
  • Knows principles and processes for providing customer service. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction.
  • Knowledge of sales and distribution, financial management, cash management and marketing.
  • Excellent skills in leadership, organization, relationship building, communication and planning.
  • Effective at written and verbal communication.
  • Must be able to use Microsoft Office and Customer Relationship Management software.
  • Willingness to travel up to 50%
  • Willingness to relocate within 1-2 years.

What We Offer

Compensation: This is a salaried exempt role. The starting salary range for this role and market is between $100,800 to $132,300 annually. Factors that may affect starting salary include geography/market and the skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate. Under the plan, target compensation is anticipated to be 70% base salary and 30% commission.  New hires are guaranteed to receive at least the target commission for six months.  The competitive compensation plan also includes an uncapped bonus structure based on performance exceeding 100% of the plan across three individual categories. The bonus amount increases as performance surpasses quota, so the potential payout is not fixed and can grow as over-quota achievements increase.

Depending on date of hire, and subject to applicable eligibility requirements, new employees in this role also receive up to: 12 days paid time off, 2 paid well-being days, 1 paid volunteer day, 12 paid holidays, and 3 floating holidays per year.
