What Drives Success

The Demand Planner – Factory Service Parts is responsible for driving performance, efficiency, and strategic growth in our parts business. This role oversees PIPO (Phase In/Phase Out) processes, inventory management, and demand planning to ensure we meet customer demand while optimizing resources. The ideal candidate will bring a strategic mindset, deep technical knowledge of parts management, and the ability to lead initiatives that improve the customer experience and strengthen our market position.  

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Forecasting & Planning
    • Develop and maintain statistical forecasts for service parts using advanced statistical models).
    • Incorporate product life cycle curves, seasonality, and intermittent demand patterns into forecasting.
    • Monitor forecast accuracy and continuously improve models and improve forecast BIAS/MAPE
  • Reliability & Failure Analysis
    • Analyze failure rates  and usage patterns to predict spare parts demand.
    • Understand attachment rates of parts to OEM assemblies and final products.
    • Collaborate with engineering and reliability teams to integrate failure data into planning.
  • Inventory Optimization
    • Determine safety stock and reorder points based on service level targets and lead times.
    • Manage end-of-life and obsolescence planning for parts.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration
    • Work closely with procurement, supply chain, and service operations to align demand plans.
    • Support new product introductions and service readiness planning.
  • Reporting & Analytics
    • Provide regular reports on forecast accuracy, inventory health, and service level performance.
    • Use ERP and planning tools (SAP, IBP, Oracle, or similar) for data analysis and execution.

What We Are Looking For

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Statistics, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
  • Experience: 3 -5 years of experience in demand planning, forecasting, or supply chain management, preferably in a manufacturing operation.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency with demand planning software, statistical forecasting tools, and data visualization software (e.g., Excel, SAP IBP, Tableau).
  • Analytical Skills: Strong problem-solving abilities and experience with statistical or machine learning techniques in demand forecasting.
  • What Will Make You Stand Out:
    • Experience improving forecast accuracy, inventory turnover, and OTIF performance
    • Ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders and present insights to leadership
    • Proven track record of turning complex data into clear, actionable recommendations
  • Location: West Columbia, SC (This position is 100% onsite, requiring attendance in the office 5 days a week, Monday-Friday.)

What We Offer

Compensation: This is a salaried exempt role. The starting salary range for this role and market is between $64,000-$84,000  annually. Factors that may affect starting salary include geography/market and the skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate. Employees in this role are also eligible for an annual bonus in accordance with the terms of the Company’s applicable plan. Employees in this role are not eligible for overtime.
