What Drives Success

As a Transportation Analyst, you will evaluate and design transportation and distribution procedures to maximize delivery efficiency.

 

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Assist in research and analysis of freight costs and classifications, delivery methods and delivery schedules to minimize delivery costs and maximize customer satisfaction.
  • Maintain databases of freight costs and transportation networks.
  • Assist in negotiating transportation rates in accordance with company guidelines and standards as needed.
  • Assist in the analysis of transportation costs, equipment availability and service levels.
  • Conduct cost studies to develop negotiating leverage, evaluate alternatives and reduce costs.
  • May assist in coordinating foreign merchandise production, quota, customs documentation and transportation.
  • May work with customs officials to work out delays and obtain release of incoming freight.

What We Are Looking For

  • Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Knows principles and methods for moving people or goods by air, rail, sea, or road, including the relative costs and benefits.
  • Knows some industry and regulatory trends.
  • Must have basic knowledge about Transportation Management Systems.
  • Must have effective written and oral communication skills.

What We Offer

Compensation: This is a salaried exempt role. The starting salary range for this role and market is between $48,000 - $63,000 annually. Factors that may affect starting salary include geography/market and the skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate. Employees in this role are also eligible for an annual bonus in accordance with the terms of the Company’s applicable plan. Employees in this role are not eligible for overtime.
